I think * would be interesting. They certainly turn up in a lot of my drafts as place holders. Time to step out into their own world.

I haven't. I don't listen to audiobooks often for this to be a thing. But I have heard this mentioned by friends who listen to a lot of audiobooks and dramas. It sounds like it can ruin the experience.

I would miss them a lot and it would greatly change how much I'm able to read. I don't have the same love of ebooks as I do physical books but they are much more practical for me. I'm able to read wherever I go. It would be hard to give that up.

#ScribesAndMakers August 29. At age 11, our TTMD guest answered 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' with 'Author.' Do you know what you wanted to be at 11?"
I'm not sure exactly, I went through phases when I was a kid with what I wanted to be when I grew up from professional athlete to doctor to farmer. I was kind of all over the place, which is what I am now too. So it's nice that held up over time.

It's like a trance. I am completely unaware of the outside world and time seems to pause. Then I come out of it 3 hours later and realize I've written a chapter.

A single reader is definitely worth a celebration. I write for myself and because I enjoy it but I also want to share my stories with others. More readers would call for a bigger celebration though.

I've tried but I really struggle with it. Some of it is the writing and some of it is the story construction. But you're right that it's probably a good exercise to help me be more concise

To write concisely and clearly. It sounds so simple but I kept mucking it up with too many words. I think I'm getting better, especially in the editing process, but even now I still find convoluted sentences and paragraphs.
