White women have a long and documented history of repackaging the scholarship, the labor, and the lived experience of non-white women, adding a blazer and a production budget, and selling it back to an audience conditioned to trust comfort over substance.

The Box Elder County Commission just approved a data center campus backed by Kevin O'Leary that, at full buildout, will consume more than twice the power of the entire state of Utah. Hundreds of residents showed up to protest. The commission voted yes anyway.

Today, I want to talk about the guidance vacuum that created.
Mel Robbins is a motivational speaker. She has built a career telling people to stop overthinking and take action.
That framework, move fast, feel the fear, do it anyway, is exactly the wrong lens for introducing people to LLMs.
Large language models require the opposite of that.

In an advising session today I said something with a level of clarity I have not said before: what we have is not a great indicator of what's possible.
The myth operates inside organizational strategy the same way it operates everywhere else. What currently exists becomes the ceiling for imagination rather than the floor. Products, services, processes, all of it gets treated as proof of limits rather than evidence of a starting point.

The Supreme Court's active participation in dismantling the protections that keep those the myth deems beneath it from having recourse is not a surprise. It should not be read as one. It is what systems, institutions, and policies do when the accountability portion of their own design begins to arrive. When the harm that was always structural starts landing close enough to the people who believed they were protected from it.

I have been writing about loyalty versus trust in The Predator's Table and it sent me back to a conversation that went global last year: would women rather meet a bear or a man in the woods?
Most women chose the bear. Many men took offense.
Writing this book clarified something for me: given a choice, most men would also choose the bear over the men they are in relationship with. Not because men are inherently dangerous.

Try this instead: find one thing this week that brings you joy that has nothing to do with winning, achieving, or being seen doing something right. Not because you earned it. Because you are a human being and human beings require joy to function.

Every white progressive/leftist/liberal space I have ever encountered treats joy as a luxury. Something you get to have after the work is done. A treat for the people who showed up and did not cause harm and managed their feelings and stayed in the room. Joy as reward. Joy as the thing you earn by suffering through the hard parts first.
That framing will burn you out. Because the hard parts do not end. The myth does not take a break.

Most people cannot sit with the second option. So they choose the first. They call Black joy performative, delusional, irresponsible given the circumstances. Anything to avoid the conclusion the math is pointing toward.
The cost is this: you cannot access what you cannot understand. And you cannot understand what the myth told you was impossible. That keeps you locked out of the very thing that would make this work survivable for you.

And if they are that alive, one of two things must be true: either they are performing it, faking a happiness they do not feel to make you uncomfortable, or the premise was wrong all along. The most common pushback I get is about capitalism.
People hear "profit without oppression" and assume I think capitalism is the problem. I don't. Capitalism is a theory. I tell people I should come with a warning label. Not as a joke. As a fact. Once I show you what you have been missing, you cannot unknow it. There is a time before the conversation and a time after it, and they do not feel the same. Before, you could rely on ignorance as an excuse. After, there are decisions to be made. The issue here, is not a new one. In your effort to make a point, you caused harm to the very community that already doesn't feel welcomed or psychologically safe here.
But again, this isn't new but demonstrates what happens to intentions for inclusion when the perspective itself isn't.

I just finished a meeting with a client who needed advice on a situation where their customer made a request that does not align with their team's ethics or organizational core values.
