The thing is, that I try to focus as much time as possible on the actual music, so I doubt I will be setting up a separate publishing feed for some of the music, especially since there are so few listening anyway. But I see your point. And since I enjoy writing both classical and other instrumental stuff, I have a feeling that, at some point, it will also be added to the v4v ecosystem (in one form or the other). Especially if I notice that more people are enjoying the music that is already available. Comments like yours mean a lot 🙂

I really appreciate it. 🙏🖤 Honestly, I didn’t think anyone would be interested. I think you also mentioned a long time ago that I probably shouldn’t mix classical into my already colorful catalog, just to avoid confusing people even further, which probably makes sense. 😄 But I’ll reconsider it.
This is Part III of a series. The complete series is getting close to a million streams on Spotify. My plan is to release it as a full album once it reaches that point, including 9 pieces that are still missing, to make everything complete.

Interesting.
I can see how some players may prefer chronological sorting of actual albums according to <lastBuildDate> instead of <pubDate> (even though I personally think <pubDate> makes most sense).
But how is it decided 'when' a track is added? The individual tracks (<item>) on an album are usually added on the same date (<pubDate>), it would be tempting to believe that <podcast:episode> was used as intended to get the correct track order.

Yes, I double checked it in the studio, on my normal gear, and it sounds perfectly organic, farm fresh, non-GMO... haha 🙂 🎸 (just as you said)
Track listings look perfect now, on all releases. This automatically puts Podtunes in the top tier of players out there. Apparently this is very difficult to achieve 😅

Are you sure about that? I will make a more proper comparison when I get to the studio, but I'm pretty sure something is going on :) (not talking about file compression, just some kind of real-time audio compression)

They seem to have a bunch of problems after their latest update unfortunately. My latest release isn't even registered on Fountain (but everywhere else). Also, several releases have the wrong track order, which is pretty annoying. I've reached out to them a couple of times (also on their Nostr page) without getting any response. I can only assume they are aware of the problem, but don't know how to fix it. For now, I just link to other apps instead. My favorites being nprofile1qqs00y32ptdnlfxa5hhv4f30dalwv9vl0a27pqpkdpkx3cyrstp50zq05v2r3's Stablekraft and Boost Me Bitch. Check 'em out 🎸🎸🎸

Not only does Stablekraft ROCK 🎸🎸🎸, it also gets the track order right every time. Surprisingly, that's still a challenge for some Podcasting 2.0 apps.
When I release music with more than one track, the sequence matters. Whether it's just two tracks like this release or a full album with 8–10 tracks, the order is an important part of the listening experience.

Same for me unfortunately. Some of my releases (with more than one track) now have random track order instead of the intended one (which is specified in the album feed). Everything was fine until the latest update. Both the web- and phone app seem to be affected.
I've noticed that I'm not alone with this problem.

Yes, I noticed the track-ordering-fix and that's why it felt like the perfect time to put a spotlight on your cool creation. However, I just noticed that it no longer skips to the next track on an album (which it did earlier). Maybe just a temporary hiccup. Also, for some strange reason, it has pulled in all my releases, except "The Embrace". But then again, how boring would life be without its small mysteries :)

I can't really comment on the community at large. I've been around long enough to know a fair number of people here, but not enough to speak for everyone.
But the ROI argument makes a lot of sense to me. It's hard to onboard artists with decent followings if the economics don't make sense for them.
I'm still here despite that because I believe in what we're building. But the reality is that I make more from Spotify in a single day than I make from a month in the Valueverse.
Spotify deserves much of the criticism it gets, and I'd love to see the Valueverse become the go-to place for independent artists. Right now, though, at least from where I stand, the gap isn't closing. It's moving in the other direction.
If we want more artists to show up, we probably need to spend less time explaining why they should be here and more time making it financially obvious 🎸🎸🎸
