If you look at some blocks there is a lot of hashrate that are almost 100% bip110 compliant. viabtc and F2pool don't seem to include subsat txs wich makes most of inscriptions. So financially they loose close to zero compared to know and get no risk in a chain split. Just saying.

Clients are the targets, relays are not like LSPs, the barrier to run a relay is much lower, big relays and nostr media hosting will be targets, there will be many small relays everywhere.

Agree with this, but like you said, it's a relay with an exposed connection on an PC, not on the phone, on the phone it for other use cases imo. Nostr allows many different configurations, that's why it will be fine even if big relays go out.

Single pay access is not enough imo, bitcoin spam preventions is transaction fees, not only that but very important is that it's exponential, not linear or fixed value, relays could request a payment to whitelist and then if you start spamming demand another payment and that would increase if you continue. Maybe the other way around could also work, you would start paying a monthly fee and if you behaved nicely over some tine you would start paying less monthly.

Don't give people the wrong impression and a false sense of privacy and security by telling them that they can effectively delete notes on Nostr, they can be able to remove notes from most popular relays and think it's deleted when in fact it can be on dozens of other relays. The opposite is also true, , relay operators can do whatever they want, if they want to nuke your notes after 24h they can, they don't have to retain your data forever.

You can add more relays and you can rebroadcast any notes yourself to any number of relays, bitcoin full nodes keep all txs history, nostr relays not necessarily, but the concept is similar, a relay can go out, damus already nuked everything once, but your notes remain in other relays. So to the question you asked, it's diferent bc no single entity can erase or own your data, you have freedom to spread and broadcast as you wish. Another question one can ask is, what nostr data do you want to keep forever, is it worthy to keep social media notes forever? In my personal opinion no, some other stuff yes probably.

You can ask the same question about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is also in someone else's computers. Nostr servers do not belong to a single entity, no single entity controls the protocol or the data, it's transparent and you can see what's in nostr relays and only you control your keys.

Yeah i imagine Amethyst drafts can be a problem, many drafts and people won't bother requesting deletion or don't even know, it's a manual task for each draft and deletion might not reach all relays. Don't think drafts are a good idea tbh.

I was thinking if it would be possible something like deposit btc in a musig 2/2 similar to this, all txs in the service being custodial ecash with any denomination, and every 24h or so onchain settlement with a batch tx. Most plebs are on Nostr and some high profiles, but many of the bitcoin big accounts still think nostr is small and they get no engagement, on Nostr you don't have an algo pumping your account, so here they are just like any other pleb, and feel they don't have the same reach to their audience/followers.
