The recently exposed SCOTUS Case number 24-1791 decided on 2 July 2025 confirmed that four of the 36 states that allegedly ratified the Tax amendment, submitted documents with material alterations to the text. Under Article V of the Constitution, the ratification became void.
That meant that the IRS has been collecting taxes under an amendment that has not legally existed for 113 years. The SCOTUS ruled replacement revenue system called for a 14% flat consumption tax exempting food, medicine, housing and education.
