Clams v1.0.0-beta.10 is out.
Historical balance sheets are now available. The report takes an as-of flag, so you can pick any point in the past and get the books as they stood that day. Useful for audits, year-end, board reports, and due diligence.
Lightning sync reliability got better across the board. Core Lightning works more cleanly over Tor-backed Commando. Long syncs are much more stable. LND pending-invoice handling is more reliable for nodes carrying many open invoices.
On-chain wallets are faster too, with quicker incremental syncs after the first scan and recovery from older checkpoint formats.
Testnet4 is now supported across Address, Descriptor, and XPub connections.
A new flag lets you force a full sync and rebuild from scratch when you need to.

With 2 Lightning nodes connected, Clams shows a modest capital gain. I connect the xpub for an on-chain wallet and the River exchange data - It's now a capital loss.
At the start of the demo, sats moving between our wallets appear to be spends and receives. Without the full picture, there's no way to know they're transfers.
Adding the on-chain wallet and the River CSV lets Clams track the bitcoin end to end:
River Exchange → on-chain wallet → lightning nodes.
Disposals get recategorized as transfers. In other words, they are no longer taxable events. The average cost basis went up too. River has the actual purchase prices, not inferred ones from on-chain timestamps.
Higher cost basis + transfers reclassified = realized gains flip from positive to negative.
"But I don't want to hand over my xpub to get a more accurate cost basis."
You don't. Your data never leaves your machine. You can connect your own Electrum, Esplora or Bitcoin RPC server for on-chain lookups.
More connections in Clams doesn't mean more trust. It means fewer false taxable events and an accurate cost basis.

Both tools are CLIs with accompanying agent skills. The integration is the wallet descriptor.

"For all required chain data lookups, for each request we randomly select from a list of public Electrum servers which is currently made up of mempool.space, blockstream and bitaroo. In a future update, we will allow users to input a custom list of Electrum servers they would like Clams to use instead. This would allow for using a locally running instance to prevent any metadata from leaving your device. We also recommend using a VPN while using the app so that the public Electrum servers cannot correlate your personal IP address with transaction metadata."

You need to Install and run Lightning Terminal Daemon (litd) on your node.

When we paste an address like [email protected], the app recognizes it as a BIP-353 username or an LNURL payment.
When you tap the button to send, the app will check if a BOLT12 offer can be retrieved from the DNS records, and if so you will be prompted to pay the offer:

We just added support for BIP-353 usernames to Remote.
TLDR; paste what looks like a lightning address and pay to a BOLT12 offer encoded in DNS TXT records.

Once the prism is created, the manager can then bind it to an offer created by Coffee Shop node. Now all payments to said offer will be split to Bob and Dave.

Lets say you have a coffee shop manager that wants to split tips from their node between Bob and Dave for the Saturday shift. Bob and Dave provide an offer to the manager and he creates the prism, in this case a 50/50 split:

Perhaps you are going to get paid some onchain which you intend to sweep to cold storage. You can inform CLBOSS to ignore said funds for a period of time and it will not use it to open channels for you.
Or perhaps you have a channel with your friend that you want to keep open, regardless if CLBOSS determines that it is not worth doing so. You can toggle the "Close" permission to off and CLBOSS will now leave said channel open.

For those unaware, CLBOSS is an automated manager for Core Lightning forwarding nodes. i.e. turn it on and never worry about things like managing channels again.
The plugin does offer some commands that we have found useful at certain times...

No worries, we are happy accept feedback on any of the platforms we are on.
We'll look in to that issue with the dashboard becoming unresponsive and see if we can get that fixed.
We do not support Coinbase yet, but we are working on some exchange integrations at the moment, so it shouldn't be too far off.
Mobile is not currently on the roadmap. We could make it happen with our current tech stack if we see sufficient demand for it though.

4/10 🔒 A Note on onchain Privacy:
When fetching txs for each address, we randomly select an Esplora instance from a list of public instances. Use a VPN while syncing for added privacy. In future you will be able to define your own list of trusted instances (ie self hosted).
