Is it me, or is this all a bit off. Put all your bitcoin in a treasury company at a nav of 1, no capital gains to pay. Then go public at a nav above one and dump your shares on retail and buy more btc for yourself. All legal, but seems more like shitcoin / vc scam. I think running and configuring a node, understanding what you are doing is a level most people won't get to. I thought plug and play nodes were a way to get more people running a node and supporting the network. I guess that is the question, do plug and play nodes help or not? (Assuming most people who run these do so because they aren't that technical and won't progress past that stage.)

Absolutely. And is this where Gresham's law comes into play, good money will drive out bad? Eventually people will choose bitcoin and hopefully, in the main, those who need it most, choose it first. Agree education and communication is vital, alongside easy to use tools. Not everyone will and can have offline storage and utxo's. The other hope i have is that as more and more people who understand this come to be in different roles, e.g. politicians, they start having the difficult conversations and make the tougher short term decisions for long term gain. I do agree, it feels like we are at an inflection point and we must all do what we can

So, listening to the latest @nprofile…9dyf podcast and it got me looking at how much US treasuries China own and was surprised to see the UK owning a similar amount at over $700billion.
So question for one of the macro experts, @nprofile…3tqm @nprofile…9dyf @nprofile…tdva @nprofile…drvf, why doesn't the UK (or any country with large foreign reserves) sell their US treasuries and use it to pay off their own debt and dramatically reduce the UKs debt to GDP?

@nprofile…xafw, I've thought for a while #bitcoinonly should really be used instead of bitcoin maxi. 2 reasons, there are very few true bitcoin maxis who live on a bitcoin standard ( @nprofile…qft7 and @nprofile…5cfd being 2, i think you even said you had $ ready to buy the dip the other week) and in reality a lot of people who are put in the maxi bracket are really bitcoin only. Secondly, I think it helps with the messaging and explanation as well as reducing the cult like thoughts and triggers people have with the term maxi. Could be a subtle change that helps with the pitching to the left?

Few questions on bonds though, what is the impact of all this falling out between countries? Are nations buying less USA debt? Do USA buy other nations bonds and is that now reducing? You talked about the need to refinance $7trillion of debt this year, but didn't really talk about who will buy it? Be great if there are any stats on this, need a @nprofile…j95t equivalent analysis on global bonds and % of who is buying
