🖤: yeah, it's a long story but the short of it is when we first transitioned the goal was more binary-woman
we were still masking our plurality hard and (the original) Autumn was always fighting for the front and despite Rawry wanting to name us Rory and *everyone liking that name* instead she unilaterally decided to acquiesce to our ex, who hates that name, and name us Robin :soft_concern:
Fast forward a few years; the whole kerfuffle with the Autumns happened, the system is more harmonious and we're reading a lot of mythology, specifically Norse mythology.
Me and Rawry start this "joke" that we should just go by Fenrir because it's legend really resonates / is reminiscent of ours and it's what I like to call "gender-wtf". Technically a masc name but really it's so strange it can be whatever.

we use it as basically an umbrella term for drum & bass / jungle / styles adjacent to those. like fast, intricate drums kind of stuff
which is *technically* wrong cause there are definitely people who would take issue with that but those people are nerds :soft_laugh: (it me. we are the nerd)

🤎💛: imo they're totally different styles, like our go to for stuff like breakfast sandwiches, burgers n pulled pork is definitely american cheese but if we're talking grilled cheese? cheddar might edge out there altho it's a rough competition
but for all of em it depends on the context, like if we're making a fancy burger with pesto and lots of black pepper we're 100% going with cheddar
but otoh if we're looking for that classic nostalgia grilled cheese it's obviously gotta be american

💜🖤: Tad's advice on lucid dreaming is good.
🖤💙: Another good way of initiating it is to make a mental list of "tells"/alerts that will help you realize you are dreaming. For us, moving my limbs has a very distinctive feel and is the biggest tell.
Getting familiar with your dream's tropes will also help. Like "oh this is a nuclear war dream"
We've talked about this a bit on here before but our lucid dreaming usually doesn't get to the "all powerful" stage. There are always "rules" to work with. So, acting in a way that would make sense logically will usually make the desired outcome happen. Like if you're looking for a weapon, check a closet instead of trying to manifest it.
💜: the other, non magical, advice we have that you can implement *today* is to have a bedtime routine. Sleep hygiene is so important for less scary dreams but not a silver bullet.
Highly recommend melatonin too.
Here's our routine:<li>Take 2 5mg melatonin gummies</li><li>Check if the doors are locked</li><li>Brush teeth</li><li>Pick pyjamas</li><li>Nighttime diaper</li><li>Auditory distraction (tv show or wordless, calm music)</li><li>In bed</li>
If you're the type who likes falling asleep with the TV on, pick a handful of shows you rotate through at night. You don't want to be engaged, just something to be *there*
