I'm going to tell you a shocking tale in the hope of gaining some sympathy.
Earlier today I had me a run.
Nothing too strenuous but enough to tire out this timeworn chap.
Had a shower, a bite to eat, a nosey at the news.
Then I went upstairs.
Just 2 minutes quiet sit down on the bed.
Started to nod off . . . .
AAAAAARRGH!!!!
Major muscle cramp, left calf.
Bloody agony. Flailing around I was for nearly 3 minutes.
It's still fluttering now - over an hour later.
Am I just getting old?

I've just finished a run on the treadmill. I'm shattered, probably overdone it again. Looks outside and sees how sunny it is, decides to have 5 minutes sit down out there.
Gets in the garden, plonks myself on the bench, and Zanzi appears, my cat. My huge, scruffy, stinky old farm cat.
He's not a lap cat, doesn't know how.

I try to avoid ranting about politics, I'll leave that for those with a hunger for the fight, but. All this talk of multi billions being spent on defence. Really?
Society is based on capitalism. Armaments are very profitable. But surely the fight against climate change could be just as lucrative?
We also mobilised quickly to find a vaccine for covid, no expense spared. Imagine channeling those efforts toward saving the planet.

The ruling Conservative party didn't think they should be as this would be too costly for landlords. They won the vote.

Following a recommendation from @npub12pw…zvxn I watched Blitz last night. What a wonderful film. Heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure this is a film to make you forget about the petty grievances of life today and realise just how fortunate we are.

Did you watch Unstable, the Rob Lowe one? Series 1, very good. Series 2, awful, only managed 3 episodes.

I've just had to check how many episodes of Shrinking there was. Stupidly had in my head only 8, I'm up to 6. Subscription runs out in a week and we're not renewing. Bugger.
Looks like we'll be watching Blitz tonight and saving Shrinking (what there'll be of it) until the last night 🙃
