Ok haul photo coming (it's on my phone and I hate typing on my phone. Will attach as edit.)
So the thing that triggered my visit was my inability to locate my 4mm ergonomic hook (must be with some other project somewhere) to work on the chicken cardi sleeves. That was 30 % off, as were the t-pins that I always run out of when blocking. The brocade was 40% off and everything else was 50% off.
I didn't do too bad, spent less than $100 with tax.
The store is closing because the building was sold. Lease ends June 30th. They will be clearing stuff out until there isn't enough left to make it worthwhile to open or the end of the lease, whichever comes first. I may be returning if I can think of anything I want to make...

I agree with you there, but in this case it is non-residents being given more lenient sentences than residents. The law should apply equally. And if their immigration status is impacted, well, we have immigration laws for a reason. If you don't want the consequences, don't do the crime. And the case that triggered this is a repeat offender who stole a vehicle.

Her ears were definitely dirty and the cleanings helped a lot. She was obviously either not handled enough as a kitten or mistreated somewhere along the way before I got her. My guess is a combination of both.

If you are talking about the scratched, they've healed up fine. No infection, the deeper one will possibly leave a bit of a scar. I'm still keeping a much closer eye on her than I was before and giving her ears a regular cleaning, which she does not always appreciate.

She is napping peacefully after waking me up at 5. So pretty much recovered. She is still a bit hesitant to jump up, and down from, higher things, but otherwise pretty much recovered.

We are in the middle of a unit on AI right now and part of it is thinking about the impacts. One example was "you and your friend are applying to the same program (police training) and you find out he has been using AI to bring his grades up". They had to think about who this affects. They could not think beyond themselves to the program not getting the best candidate to the police force who hires him in the future not getting an officer that won't cut corners to the citizens that might not be well served. They had to be nudged every step of the way. And when they broke into groups with different AI situations, many of them could not extrapolate to a wider impact.
