I have this, mostly just use it for DAB despite having a HomePod in the room, just prefer the ease of having a radio on in the background. And occasionally using the CD player.

Something I got out of reading “Earthquake: the election that shook Australia” is the Labor party was doing *a lot* of polling and research. And I think they’re still doing it. And that’s why we got Albo’s address to the nation, and why they’re doing this campaign. They’ve been talking about how this situation isn’t COVID, but I think they’ve learnt the lessons of it. That communication is key, and they can’t just let things simmer without attention. There’s fewer people engaging with the news, so they need alternate channels to communicate through. #auspol #Australia

It still blows my mind that some motels just do not have a website. Yes, they're in country towns. But when there's another option, one motel might not have a website, while another will. And I just find it incredible that the one without doesn't think that's an issue. #Australia

I do not understand how people are writing stuff be it in social media, reddit, emails etc all lower case with so many mistakes. It *can’t* be they’re all on desktop. On any modern device it would fix at least 60% of the mistakes showing up in these mediums.

I don’t understand why that’s the default for ovens to do. Often they won’t even flash the timer, there might just be a random symbol on it, and you need to cycle the menu. On mine then there’s an audible “click” from within and it’ll work.

Ryobi makes an adaptor that turns their One+ batteries into a USB power bank. Could be useful, albeit a much more awkward shape than a regular power bank. I do have a number of One+ batteries around the house.

I drove to Cairns and back through the more inland of routes last year and had the lane keeping on. I was surprise on a road with few marking that it could even determine where the edge was.
In general I’m surprised by Ford’s systems, its speed sign recognition is especially good (and useful).

I suspect it’s because the returns on the merch store must mean the margins are very much in the creators’ favour vs platforms like Patreon, and maybe the extra content they’d need to create doesn’t justify the extra cash they could get.

Some YouTube content creators don’t have a patreon (or buy me a coffee, or YouTube memberships etc), and instead say to people ‘if you want to support us buy something from our merch store’.
I’ve been wondering if that’s ethical, as a consumer of their content for this? If you’re a fan of their content, wanting to support them, but not wanting to indulge in consumerism, then it seems not great to only have that path to support them. #YouTube #online

I wonder, is it just the stock is in physical stores, so it’s just simpler for them each to send you the stock they have on hand rather than to send it back to a central location, or to wait for stock to arrive at the central depot.
I bought two things from Vans, and they came from Chadstone and Bundoora. Return address was the same though.
