I think that's the port of destination for anyone who reaches a level of personal, financial success by holding bitcoin as savings. Or at least it HAS been.
I struggle in the social space (here and in real life) to grasp why on earth bitcoin needs to be some sort of religious mission or personal ethos or cure-all that fixes everything that it's rubbed into.
But that's because it's already stripped away a ton of my anxieties. I can just be comfortable recognizing it for what it is.
Most people engaging in the Bitcoin social layer still are struggling for hope. And layering on all these silly abstractions is a way for them to justify all the anxiety and isolation that comes from taking an extremely deviant financial risk.

If Bitcoin is money, why do so few bitcoiners use it like money?
My local meetup has splintered off into a guerilla campaign of getting local Square merchants to turn on Bitcoin. We've onboarded merchants that sell coffee, ice cream, tacos, rolfing, etc...God willing, we will get beer on the menu.
And the local bitcoiners mostly can't be arsed to spend with them! What gives?!
