TRS used to be the flagship org/podcast of the alt-right. It took a downturn following 2020 for exactly the reasons I listed. It used to be funny, it used to be cutting edge. Despite having symetrical beliefs to Fuentes, even to the point they're very open about not supporting Trump and being anti-Republican, they hate each other and the courses have been in opposite directions.
One of the biggest critiques of Fuentes is that he doesn't get along well with almost anyone. It used to be that Nick was in a fight with someone he 99% agreed with every week, while TRS had the big tent and big operation. In fact, it's interesting to see who they had and who's left. They used to have a Christian and Pagan podcast on their website, now they have neither. They set up an org and it imploded. It used to be Nick who was the podcaster starting fights, now he gets along much easier with people you might not think he would, like Keith Woods and that guy who started the community in Arkansas. More traditionally far-right people. He's also on Alex Jones all the time and they get along great. Nick has a bit of an IRL network with AFPAC, which everyone made fun of at first but seems to be pretty successful these days.
I think the number one mistake far-right people make is thinking Nick is fake. They think this because TRS and Spencer set the aesthetics of the alt-right in Trump 1, and Nick deviated to include an America-centric focus and a heavy Catholic influence in his network. People might view this as insincere, but it's paid off.
I don't see much difference in their positions and credibility (both have credibly been accused of being feds, both are probably not), which is why it's interesting to view them as two models of the same thing, and to see where one worked and the other failed.
And if you've followed both for a while, you'll be surprised how symetric they are. They both even do the "contempt for the audience thing." Nick with superchaters, TRS with commenters and people who don't buy the paywall lmao.

One of the reasons TRS began a downtrend in 2020 when by all means they should have risen was because they ignored people’s actual material issues in favor of another podcast about the Holocaust (which people in our thing don’t really care about one way or the other, honestly). People going through the worst year of their life don’t want to be told their concerns aren’t valid. There were issues with the vaccine. COVID measures did suck. The country was burning and it was pretty clear the election was stolen, and people had simply had it with the “you’re low-IQ stop paying attention to your small business and listen to podcast about blue walls.”
If TRS hadn’t been so misanthropic and so hermit-like in their concerns, they could’ve been getting six figure viewers on their livestreams and talked about in mainstream conservative circles.
And if people say Nick Fuentes sold out to get where he is, they should listen to a single one of his streams. He is clearly still an alt-right figure in terms of his beliefs, plus Catholicism.
Talking about how great Hamas is and about ovens not being connected to buildings, did not in fact resonate with Americans as much as talking about their real issues. One person managed to tap into the deep existential anxiety people felt that year, and the other managed to distance themselves from it despite being nominally dissidents.

This whole affair did a couple things.
First, it consolidated support around the leadership and elevated the more aggressive faction substantially. It replaced a moderate government with an extreme government, which is going to be playing to win rather than trying to coexist.
Second, it gave a huge moral boost. Firstly it was successful on the offense, and wasn’t obliterated on the defense. Yes Israel had a win in the beginning, but the problem with plans that take a long time to set up is that they’re hard to repeat. There’s no doubt Iran is capable of piercing Israel’s missile defense, which means in a protracted war, Iran will probably win.
Third is that the divisions in the Israeli camp, most notably with America, mean a massive invasion of Iran is less likely. Jews in America are still going to push for that, but Trump’s tweet demanding the return of Israeli jets shows he has to at least pretend to be neutral to maintain support. There’s no impetus for America to join.
The Israelis got some blows, but this will only hasten the change in the leadership and consolidate support for taking out Israel, long-term. Israel will also have to deal with the psychological damage among its populace, which has built a fairly modern state and wishes for safe and prosperous living conditions. Those obviously can’t persevere if Iran launches a sustained air campaign against them, so expect more political division in the future.
It’s also made the American public keenly aware that an Iranian war is a real possibility, and not a fever dream. It will redouble its effort for peace, and this will accelerate the division between the American people and the Jewish overclass. If one side is united and the other divided following a conflict, it’s clear who won.
The American people won, Iran won, Israel lost, and the American government has to tread carefully. Overall a win.

I tried playing helldivers 2 on my fancy new graphics card and it gave it an aneurysm and now it doesn’t run the same. I miss the days of TF2 when you could boot up a game and not have to worry about graphics or performance, because it ran fine on minimum setting no matter what and it looked fine with minimal graphics. Modern game devs have lost the art. You’d think they were hardware salesmen, not people trying to make fun games.
