Omarchy is worse than ChromeOS and that's saying something.
It's just an Arch remix. Stuff you could do yourself on base Arch. It's also fully fucking vibecoded, many commits from Claude and Codex, etc.
Not to forget that the creator, DHH, is a right-wing fascist asshole.
Even ChromeOS wrote their own shit and made a unique distro of Linux.

HF provides an opt-out method for getting your projects out of their dataset. No guarantees though to be honest. I'd also consider writing to whoever could help get your stuff out of that dataset, whether it be governmental data control orgs or something else.
I moved to Codeberg in 2025 as well and removed all of my GH repos, Codeberg recently banned cryptocurrency projects and vibecoded projects too.
There's also git.gay and some others out there.

This should be illegal. This should be treated as a severe data breach and a failure of privacy on GitHub's part too.
There is so much stuff on GitHub that people unwillingly upload without knowing and now it's being shared without being redacted to the public in AI datasets.

I believe all hardware should be open to user modification in hardware and software.
If a manufacturer stops providing software support/updates for a device, I should be able to run my own code on it with no barriers so I can support it myself with my own kernel/OS or another community maintained system.
I should also be able to upgrade it with newer parts over time without having to own a soldering iron or have serialisation on the parts.
We need control over our legally bought devices.

However, we are focussing on the possibility of freezing vimscript. We cannot, by ourselves without more people, maintain or continue to modify vimscript outside of regular maintenance.

It's all good don't worry.
As far as I know, Linus Torvalds (who made Linux) is all for letting tested AI slop into the kernel, not just AI reviewed code.
Not sure about others on the team, but he seems to be okay with it. I don't get it either honestly other than they're doing it.
I would even go as far as to say that AI code is already in the kernel, but I'm not sure if that's happened yet.

I wanna start a movement that is against kernel anti-cheats. Not only is it invasive by nature, it's a huge security risk (Genshin Impact's AC RCE), could cause system instability if programmed badly (Vanguard in LoL), sometimes don't even work right (Apex Legends tournament hack) and some don't uninstall when you uninstall the game! (Delta Force, Fortnite, etc) It can prevent #Linux users from playing too!

I just had a weird #AI idea that I’m not sure if it’s been done.
An ethically sourced AI. Like an AI trained on data that is free and permissive to use for training or a team of people helping write things to train AI on certain subjects. (Like nuclear technology, programming, etc)
