I think I asked this before but while I lay here recovering from a short walk, does anyone have any email host recommendations?
I'm currently with EcoHosting because of their green credentials but they're now using AI which is about as un-green as you can get so am looking to move.
I am not techy so need somewhere with tech support so it's minimal stuff for me to do to manage it.

I vehemently disagree on this. Choosing the "just an asshole" argument is a protection mechanism humans have to make things feel easier than they are and create a false feeling of safety. We get to go "they are a different kind of human" allowing us to feel both superior and safe.
All humans are capable of heinous things. Understanding why allows us to change & prevent that behaviour.

speaking only for myself, someone who used to write a sex blog, is a community organiser in the kink community, and not awkward about sex, the reason I don't boost is actually more not sure of where the line is for certain servers and not wanting to be blocked by whole servers or booted off one for boosting something they see as not ok.
So I guess my issue is Autistic lack of understanding of why other people are weird about sex stuff.

I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again; I don't know what I did or who I sold my soul to to deserve my incredible girlfriend but I am so very lucky.
At a time when it feels like everything in my life is falling apart, she has swept in with her kindness, strength, positivity, joy, and beauty.
She is showing me that it is safe for me to not be ok, that I am allowed to be held and supported as I fall apart, and that my disabilities are one tiny facet that don't diminish the rest of me.

I am grieving hard for my inability to go get lost in forests since I became disabled.
What, if any, indoor trees are available for me to grow at home?
I already have a room filled with spider plants, 2 avocado plants (one trying to die), a Monstera, a snake plant, and a dracaena marginta.
I would like a tree tree, something native to the UK, something that feels foresty, but can live happily indoors and ideally with minimal care needs.

Does anyone have any idea how my VA can access my #NextCloud account and all the info in it (emails, calendar, files) through their own NextCloud account?
I'm on a hosted service and the support has not been helpful.
My VA has a NextCloud account on mine but can't access my stuff.
I've tried the Guests app but it wouldn't let me add them to the Guests group (just spinning "in progress" wheel forever).
VA needs access to my stuff without my password.

What's the best option as a cis woman when around trans women who are being challenged by other people / a venue / law enforcement?
Basically I want to know how I can use my own privilege to protect folks, either friends or a stranger in a toilet for example.
I would stand up for trans men & NBs too but I'm more likely to be in women's spaces & trans women seem to be much more often targeted.
I would research this myself but the fatigue from long covid is destroying me again atm.

Long COVID is destroying me. My lungs and heart hurt every second of every day. I'm totally exhausted. I can't breathe properly. The brain fog is ridiculous. I can't sleep properly, although I got 9 hours last night which is unheard of for me. It's awful.

Maybe that's Notion, if so I can probably help you out! But maybe it's not, & that's OK too.
We are so lucky to live in a world now where there are so many tools - and while that can make finding one that's suitable hard, it means that it's almost guaranteed that there is one that will work for you.

Set aside 15 minutes or so this week to really check in with the tools you're using and see if they actually make sense for you:
Do they work together in the way you need them to?
Do they do the things you need?
Do they feel natural to use?
Are you more productive when using them, or is using them a drain on your resources?
Could they work better?

When I got my running trainers I did the research beforehand; I asked runners, I searched the interwebs, & I asked in the running shop for advice on my specific situation. So I assumed that the trainers I got would be right for me.
But they weren't.
You need the right tools for you.
I sold on my running trainers and will be booking an appointment with a podiatrist to get advice on running shoes for my specific feet.

They're the wrong trainers for me.
I have picky feet - I was a toe walker in childhood & into my teen years, & I have flat feet that are also very wide & big "for a woman" (I'll save you that rant today...).
I've used podiatrist prescribed insoles designed specifically for my feet since I was 18 to enable me to, y'know, walk without pain.

I took up & swiftly had to stop #running earlier this year. I loved it but I was getting injured consistently no matter what I did.
So I quit & went back to walking & being jealous every time someone ran past me on my walk.
Having (mostly) healed all the injuries that had been caused by running through physio & just not running for several months, I put on my running trainers to go for a walk one day, instead of my usual ones & the pain from those injuries started up again.

Let's talk about accessibility, asshattery and the Fediverse.
When I asked why people don't use the Fediverse, a few people mentioned they'd had bad experiences here because they hadn't included alt-text or didn't understand the culture and made a social faux pas.
There is a strong desire to protect this space where Queer and disabled folks are prioritised, that's really great. Unfortunately this can, IMO, result in an attack first ask questions later response.
