I don’t know that we can compare wireguard to nostrability.
My best guess is sherlock was pulling and scanning thousands of events from live relays, and this raised some ML flag.
No response yet from gh support.

Nostrability is still in github limbo. No response from support.
I am investigating nostr git solutions with @npub15qy…yejr's guidance this week.

Basically nip-66 is a yuge upgrade to a nip-50 search app like ants.
Here’s what I found (I posted about this in nostrability repo, and also created a rejected a NIP-50 update to include NIP-66 because of the massive win of 50 x 66 combination)
-three relay nip-66 monitors are pinged, not just nostr.watch
1. ants discovers (while logged out) eight (8x) the search surface
2. nip-66 filters out ~~50% unresponsive relays ( I discovered this while benchmarking relays for outbox https://github.com/nostrability/outbox)
3. There are slightly more results returned (+8%)
4. I asked my bot to make it so that nip-66 doesn’t add a delay to results

No one asked for it, so I spent the past few weeks benchmarking algos coverage and performance.

I’ve reached a point of diminishing returns with outbox benchmarks.
Key learnings:
1. Randomness > deterministic algos
2. Add Thompson learning to increase coverage by 25%+ by learning and persisting which relays return useful info
3. Nip-66 reduces latency by 40% in not checking for info from dead/offline relays

I have decent benchmarks on major outbox implementations now in github.com/nostrability/outbox.
I have concrete suggestions on where to start for apps without outbox, and concrete improvements in increased coverage in thompson learning, and reduced load times by way of nip-66.
I have submitted PRs for consideration to rust-nostr (closed), coracle/welshman (open), NDK (open), applesauce (open) SDKs.

Basically per nip-65 each npub should have ~~3 or so write relays.
This means that when you check relay one you might get 30% coverage, second one adds 15% , third 8%… by relay number 20 you’re at ~~~98% coverage.
I think this is the power law.
So the problem for outbox is 1) finding stuff maximally, and 2) doing so in an efficient manner.
If you are pinging 500 relays this is not efficient.
If you are pinging only 8 relays, you are leaving coverage on the table.
