Not all rubbish.
Temperature measurements are useful. Celsius is arbitrary, even if it is usefully arbitrary. We humans are just attached to water, but the freezing and boiling point is varied based on content and pressure. So, that isn't even a good standard because I'd rather be out on the woods than a lab kept to "standard conditions."

Ok...
1. Why are screenshots disabled?
2. There's still a few metric bits after selecting imperial units. (I could show you easily if I could screen shot the app...)
3. As you thought, the avoid toll road feature is not working correctly.
If you haven't changed this from v.4.7, I NEED volume control for the voice guidance. Some of the podcasts I listen to are quiet. The voice guidance blew my ears out... That can be dangerous. But! The voice guidance properly interacted with media playing.
On v.4.8, the location lookup is very significantly slower. Accurate, still, but, slower.
Using v.4.7 eariler today:
1. It really doesn't "get" re-routing fast enough.
2. Some of the routes choices are... Bizarre. I can't give concrete examples without getting uncomfortably close to where I live... So I can't really help with that.
3. When I sent a road report 2/3 times the voice guidance reported that report. This is annoying and unexpected behavior.
I'll try to use the latest version this week and provide more feedback.

The biggest issue with simplex is device migration and the lack of a contiguous desktop integration.
The plusses are that you can host your own server if you want to keep comms very discreet (though that does leave you open to other forms of tracking).

I get SO friggin' jazzed every time my big batteries hit 100%. It hasn't ever gotten old. They just hit 100% and I kicked on my S9, so I am mining bitcoin for free and will probably get 5 hours of mining before the output from the panels drops off enough that I'll switch it off. (Not at full output, but right now, I actually have no easy means to change the settings on my miner, cuz I am an idjit.)

Yes and no.
Zapstore has additional layers to nost - ify repositories. It's not a bad setup, IMO. I just don't need the extra complexity.
F-droid does a lot of interpolation and some things under the hood that some people don't like, but it is the largest collection of FOSS or FOSS adjacent apps so they are still useful.

That's... The point. Literally. You can do anything you like with the protocol. There never has been nor will there be consistency across clients. You *can* make it more consistent if *you* put in the work to make it so. (Running you're own relay and setting your clients to point to that instead of whatever other relays you've been using.)
Nostr DMs do suck, but they are getting better.
