I prefer the middle pole and arm type stands. They are less convenient but they are more stable than most of the jointed arm types, but I tend to not adjust my monitors often, and I don't want any cylinders or springs to die and let the monitors sink.

Have any of you installed TrueNAS onto a QNAP box? I have an old TVS-473 that I dug out. It's a pretty decent hardware setup. Nothing spectacular.
I want to hook this up to my proxmox server, and while that shouldn't be super hard as is, but I can't say that I trust the QNAP software all that much these days. So I have seen people install TrueNAS onto various NASs, and that is possibly appealing in that it seems to be rather well regarded and open source, which I prefer.
Has anyone done this before? Any reason not to?

It depends on the individual user. There isn't an "amethyst relay" (thankfully). I use mostly smaller paid relays at the moment, with a damus relay for a few things.

No. It isn't. You don't need all that for small group chat.
You only need a big team if you expect it to scale to those levels. What you do need is someone who understands how to build the backbone of something that can expand and some way to finance it, as that doesn't come cheap.
That's most of the reason why we haven't seen that stuff.
