That's exactly what Negentropy syncing (nip77) does. You send a filter just like in nip01 and get back the list of id's you don't have that mat h this filter. It's using a special binary protocol to make this size optimized

Do you think this should be a new NIP to have this standardized? It does make sense. Probably having this as an http request makes more sense than some nostr event, since you may not be connected to anything yet?

That's interesting, you mean in the client app you'd say "hey provider, can you please give me my personal relay instance"? And the provider would spin up a new vm / service / etc. and deploy a new relay on it. And have it run on myawesomeinstance.relayprovider.net

I agree unrealized gains tax is bullshit, but isn't there a property tax in Florida (republican state) on an "assessed value" of the property? That feels like an unrealized gains tax in a state led by a republican.
Again, I'm against centralization and I lean right, but what she's proposing doesn't feel so scandalous.

I think your last point is spot on, but also probably the hardest for some people, especially devs who see their product (code) as their baby they need to nurture. And when others are spitting on it, critisizing it and bending it backwards they tend to take it personally. It takes time to move one's mental state from "it's mine" to "it's ours and I am no better than anyone else"

That kinda reminds me of coding - at first it goes really well, you lay out the basics and at still enthusiastic. But as you're approaching first release you start to lose that drive and it gets harder and harder to continue. But then when release is in sight you manage to pull through and hit the finish line.

#netstr first release is approaching, today I finished rewriting how events are broadcast to clients, should be much faster now, especially in an environment where you have many events being sent. Almost all relays suffer a race condition where if you're establishing a new subscription they will either miss events just being sent or they will send them before EOSE. Netstr now deals with this.
I'll focus on DB optimizations and other stability improvements now. But I'm looking forward to some more NIP implementations, e.g. Request to Vanish, support for AND tag conditions, negentropy, and others. Stay tuned.

I live in an ex communist country. People here were tried in made up trials, with fake evidence, by state controlled judges, often executed. Borders were closed, people trying to cross were shot on sight. My grandfather worked in a uranium mine for raising his voice. Kids of politically unacceptable parents were not allow to go to college and could only get a job as janitors. Everybody had to vote, but there was only one party to choose from.
That is communism.

Working on Gherkin / Specflow / Cucumber tests to cover individual NIPs. I'll use them in my #netstr #nostr #relay test suite, but maybe there would be a wider interest to have these somewhere more separate where other could pull them into their projects?
The tests are language and implementation neutral, they should be usable in any project.
