Hi Sedd, I use the iOS App. I have several „Accounts“ (Key Pairs) in use. When I noticed the new feature I tried to initialize a Cashu wallet with a key that I use in several Apps (YakiHonne, Primal, Damus, Keychat etc). I then chose my favorite mints (Minibits, Macadamia). At first both simultaneously and since this didn’t work each one solo. The process stopped at the „initialize“ step. The dots kept circling. Using another account worked.

Just for the Context: Since the disclosures by Snowden we know that 3-letter agencies from overseas have been doing this and much more for decades disrespecting any form of local jurisdiction. Obviously this didn’t stop in 2013 but rather has been expanded. Therefore we shouldn’t make the Germans think that rejecting these laws preserves or gives them back privacy. It would be more precisely to call this a form of insourcing practices that are being done by others anyway, anytime, all the time. Including the handing over of information to German authorities.

Had Lightning Node already running on umbrel. I then migrated my Alby account to umbrel which worked fine. So I obviously don’t run the integrated node, right? I have a moderately funded channel to an LSP. Is it possible to switch to the Alby integrated node?

When trying to mint Cashu tokens (100 Sats) I get an error message: not enough funds. What am I doing wrong? Can you help?

Complete restart of the whole system. I’ve done that before a couple of times. But in prior cases the channel was back online immediately. This time it took some time to come back online. (I can’t tell how long exactly). When I checked approximately half an hour later everything was fine. Sorry for bothering.

As I mentioned. You can of course pre-mint some tokens, store them wherever you want on your device (or even on a piece of paper) and transfer them in a disconnected situation. However I wouldn’t call this an attractive user experience. And if you haven’t generated the token before you can’t do anything.

Macadamia tries to generate the token after you entered a specific
amount. Then you obviously need to be online.
