An update for Form* Drive
We just released another experimental version for Drive. This includes chunking implementation and resilient downloads plus a few UX improvements. Now you can download files, and the downloads are pushed to background and you get notified when the downloads finish. Background uploads are a work in progress.
We tried with 1 GB files and it just works!
We don't expect that the download/upload implementation to change much, however this is client still experimental. We plan on improving the uploads, and implementing file/folder sharing before removing the experimental tag. After a short hiatus we are back with a few (great) features on our products
Pages Update
- We added the support of dictation using Whisper. Everything you dictate stays on your phone and gets transcribed into text locally. Everything works without internet and of course no tracking. Works on the web as well as the app.
- Improved the commenting on a doc. Now commented blocks are highlighted. Clicking on them show the relevant comment. The docs also show resolved and outdated comments as well.
- Few improvements on the UX of login modal and added multi account support with nip-49 encrypted sign in

Do you mean, fetching from caldav servers? We are working on integrating local device calendars into the app so you can use especialised Caldav apps(like Davx5) to pull data from caldav into device calendars then use our app to get a unified viewed
If you mean exposing nostr calendar events over Caldav servers then no its not supported as of yet. We also have no plans atleast in the near future as the events are all encrypted by your nsec and exposing the events over Caldav would mean us asking for your nsec which we dont want to do. Although we do have some ideas on how to do it, but they are not trivial and would require a complicated setup. We will experiment with them and see what works best without compromising privacy but there is no timeline set as of now

Calendar update
This was a major release focussing on stability and improving UX
Now the complete app works offline! you can view your events, participants, etc without internet. even on the web(if the browser is able to load the website from its cache)
Rewrote the complete signer module to make it smoother and more intuitive. Now NIP 46 actually works!
We removed the blocking calendar modal and the calendar creation more intuitive
Also released a fix for when the events would not load after signing in.

No it supports all types, but larger files maybe a problem, especially when uploading from phones, since it tries to encrypt the whole file and goes OOM, we will be implementing chunks for upload soon, which will fix this.

Form* Drive Announcement
We just released Form* Drive. Its a place where you can upload your files securely. All of the uploads are encrypted and backed by your nostr keys. It uses blossom servers for storage and relays for file metadata. A very exciting feature is that the app mounts itself as an external storage in your system so you can also browse your files using your favorite file browser(if it supports external storage).
Please note that this app is highly experimental and we are still figuring out a few things. Everything might break in future releases. Please dont depend on it just yet. But use it and have fun experimenting. More releases to follow!

Encryption is through nip44 with your own pubkey, in case of view-only sharing the doc is nip-44 encrypted why a newly generated key that is shared with the url, in case of edit access, the ownership of the doc is trandferred to a new secret key that is shared along with the url.

This is huge one! We just released calendar booking links. Now you can create your own private and personal booking link and share it with people. Through the link, people can request a booking with you. This feature is still in beta. Expect more updates along the lines

It's called outbox model, it essentially means that your posts are being fetched from the relays you're writing to and not from a set of default relays, this makes the apps more decentralized and not stuck on the same 6 central relays

We modified the original nostr-tools implementation to open up nip-44 for large files. it doesnt work with signers, but if you have keys it works. It is not backwards compatible though

So when you write a doc yourself it's encrypted to your pubkey, but when you share it, it gets copied over to a new pubkey so that you can share it. Which is why you see it in shared docs instead of personal docs.

There was a bug on formstr.app while creating new forms where the inputs wouldn't let you press space (you'd have to do it twice) , it only affected form creation and has now been fixed.
