i have a friend who will start passively aggressively bitching just loud enough for the people who were pissing him off to hear in the theatre. which means he is being a louder disruption than they were. candy wrappers trigger him too. its pretty embarrassing.

this works for me sort of but not on boring tasks. need that background noise that i prefer to fill with music otherwise i start getting unsettled and irritable at the boring pointlessness of what is being done, and distracted by the gravity of life's bullshit, which in turn griefs the boring task into taking forever.

zendesk seems to be compromised. all day i been getting support tickets from misc projects using it. and the tickets for real exist in their systems, i was able to set my eyeballs on it on the 2k games zendesk. but some others are from companies i do not patronise, like tinder and lime ride share. they are creating real tickets without any confirmation about the account existing.

nah you haven't lost the power of the engine because you're still not writing opengl/dx/vulkan yourself. godot for example its language is basically python but without a lot of the stupid.
the base widget will still be handling the positioning and layers and fonts and shaders. you just have to add new tricks.

yeah. without giving away your juicy secrets. for the most part engines i use like godot are pretty open such that if it can't do it for you, you just do it for it. that one specifically supports 2d and 3d and as far as i can tell the only limit is your time and patience. still heaps better than starting from scratch writing opengl/directx/vulkan yourself never getting to any game.

i strip those in my client since some searches will include them.
the reason is 99% of the time the browser will jump to that spot before the images/fonts/accept-our-cookies/donate bullshit finishes loading.
which then shifts all the page content, so the thing highlighted is no longer on screen.
so then i stare at a screen that has nothing what i wanted on it. then 50/50 guess scroll which way. always guess wrong. ctrl+f anyway.

ok here is my last apple rant for the week: the m1 is not nor was ever fast.
it might have been fast to people who had apple things before.
but getting work done with the gpu, even the gtx 980 with the most basic cuda support is lapping the m1 in both image and audio generation.
and the rtx 3060 isn't even fair to race against. it does in 37 seconds what the m1 could not finish in 10 minutes (text-to-speech).
that said, it all *worked* easy first try did not have to fight it. just not good.
