Why over complicate.
Just moves the trust requirement from Buyer Trusts Seller to Seller Trusts Buyer, (to release funds)
Buyers are, as a group, way less trustworthy than sellers, ("nah mate, it never arrived".)
And we have an whole entire legal system to handle any small disputes that crop up.

The point about morals is that we disagree on them.
And you saying "my morals are superior" cuts no ice. You follow yours, with it's really bonkers and restrictive view of sexuality, and I'll follow mine.
Human sexuality is wide and varied. You stick to the type your morals accept, but DO NOT claim that other people who simply have a different framework shouldn't follow theirs.
Vegans tend to think eating animals is immoral. Catholics have strong views on abortion (based mainly on misreading the Bible). Europeans have issues with eating dogs. But horses are OK, and smart pigs are delicious.
Society and it's laws tend to reflect the "broadly agreed morals" of that societies elite, and sometimes they are fine, and sometimes they are Nazis.
Prostitution is a fact of life. If it's a moral issue for you, don't visit one. End of.

Where prostitution is accepted as something which is simply part of the wide spectrum of human nature, and is allowed, and the women can run their own businesses, etc, there are essentially no pimps. UK, most of |Europe.
Pimps, in the sense of controlling violent bastards, are a feature of societies that criminalise prostitution.
Prostitution does not harm when freely chosen (and yes, some do. For many it beats a minimum wage bad boss retail amazon warehouse crapjob). It doesn't wreck families - that relationship is already gone. It doesn't spread diseases. Prostitutes are very health focussed.
If you disagree with prostitution, don't book one. If you think music is the devils work, don't listen to it. If you think art should not represent people or animals, don't draw them. But DO NOT run around making other people follow your rules.

Censoring is controlled by USERS (block, liberally) and by RELAYS (who can ban npubs).
The censorship resistant aspect takes place at Relay level - so long as ONE Relay accepts your posts, you can be seen by those who subscribe to that Relay.
Right now, Relays don't censor, because no one is willing to pay them to.
But nothing stops you offering, let's call it "Disney" Relay or "Church" Relay, and then actively monitoring it, and banning people who break the rules, and thus offering a form of walled garden for like minded people willing to pay you $1-$5pm ish to be part of your Relay (and, probably, no others, or other similar).

Bitcoin is about people using their money the way they want.
My LN is custodial, that's not a dev problem. My LN is only ever a few bucks for spending. Worrying about custodial is like worrying that my cash is at risk if it falls out of my pocket. I don't care, it's my choice, it's $20
I use getalby - it integrates neatly with Nostr and my paywall. Perfect.
BTC is hard non state money. THAT is what matters and ADOPTION is what needs to be pushed.
EVERYTHING else is second order. Even privacy (because TBH, if the Gvt is after you, you'll break your own privacy the moment your crypto gets used to buy real stuff more than groceries). Build it, enable it, but don't fuss about people who don't like your view of perfection and happen to like simple.

Things take time. People will come at their own pace. When THEY get a reason. And those reasons will be practical ones related to their needs.
And mainly, it will be because Twitter fucks up in a way that pisses them off, not because of philosophy. Devs need philosophy to guide them. Twitter clearly planning to fight SESTA/FOSTA then, because they don't act is if they are worried.
Rule 1 of campaigning, pick the obvious baddie, use them to make your point. They picked PornHub. PH started by letting anyone upload anything, including ripped and stolen scenes that companies had invested in producing. Manwin started with piracy to build a brand, then tried to become a "good guy" but their old habits died hard and they had too many smoking guns.
I've been involved in many campaigns over the years and I'm not going to be shocked or complain when the other side knows the playbook :-)
The card companies brought in lots of extra compliance for platforms as a result of PornHub. In effect they forced the platforms to follow the same rules as normal publisher porn sites and closed the UGC loophole.

Escorting is legal. US Relays that allow escorts to be clear about what they do, will eventually be told by either LEO or Lawyers about SESTA/FOSTA. Twitter gets away with it because under their previous ownership they made it clear they'd take it to the Supreme Court. Most relay operators couldn't do that.
The Pornhub thing was because they allowed illegal material - minors - so the card companies kicked them out. You can still buy porn with cards. But card rules are such that you can;t buy some legal porn with cards.
Permmissive also isn't just law, its environment. On paper Russia is a democracy.

I run such a relay. ALL relays will have to abide by their country rules re content. I do. I also WANT better tagging - no one see porn unless they want to - and RELAY based feeds. This means the porn is on porn, but also Miami Relay in effect becomes for the people of Miami and you get community building.
Because ALL community is small at heart. Be it the porn one, or the good people of Miami. At least i assume they are good. CSI isn't a documentary, is it? :-)

I'm not a dev, but a series of fields allowing relays to define themselves in terms of jurisdiction, languages supported,
types of content accepted (Sensitive, Y/N), and (probably a text field as hard to formalise) moderation policy / expected behavior. Then other people could build "which relays are for you" tools

Client apps. User is liable for what they post.
Media Servers. Generally carry liability for what they know about, or SHOULD know about, i.e. you can't avoid liability by not having a reporting mechanism, and you can't ignore that which you are told about. BUT generally no liability where your own ENFORECED rules are broken.
Relays - pretty much like media servers. So, in UK escorting is legal, and that content is fine on my relay. Blood in porn is defined in law as Extreme Pornography and is illegal. I am required to ban it, have a clear reporting system commensurate with my size as an org, and to ACT when I become aware of it. Whether or not my relay is the source is immaterial, what matters is that it is on my relay.
In the USA the spectre of SESTA/FOSTA etc will result in many relays being advised by their lawyers that such content represents a legal risk TO THEM. Some may be comfortable with that risk, others, less so.

I think the adult industry will. And be happy to have their own relays once the Sensitive Content NIPs are enabled.
Why? Freedom of speech. FSSW can be discussed in ways that scare US based companies.
Money. Banks discriminate. LN doesn't.

Standard Paid Relay blocks NOTHING.
Right now they just stop spam, because spammers don't pay. Relay operators are very much publicly saying "we don't block, you need to mute".
IMO this will change - there is already a Sensitive Content NIP and when implemented that content will be blocked on many relays. Not on mine. That's when it comes into it's differentiated self :-)
I WILL blacklist npubs that hassle people though, or post actually illegal content under UK law. That means I can be cool with FSSW posts, whereas US based relays will soon find that their lawyers outline the legal risks they run if they allow it.

Yeah, I tried to add it to that list and I had to create a github account and then when i worked through it said I had to create a fork, whatever that is. So, gave up.
But it exists and it would be cool if you added it :-)
