A lighter may seem like a small, ordinary item to you, but in Gaza, it can mean the difference between having a meal and going hungry.
If it breaks, we may not be able to light a fire to cook for our family. We search for one but often can't find it, and if we do, it can cost as much as $20. Sometimes, the only option is to ask our neighbors if they have one we can borrow.
