I wrote this as a reply to this account who was sharing questionable info. But they deleted their comment which left this post hanging. So I decided to post it here so that can’t happen again. It starts off quoting something they said. But there is a lesson for all about where we take news from and how/why we spread it. Don’t take information from propaganda accounts, even if they are Muslim. Being Muslims doesn’t make them immune to propaganda.
And my specific message to @nprofile…nl47 is that it’s not too late to clarify to your readers your slip up. In fact, I’m sure they would appreciate your humbleness and willingness to correct your mistake. I’ll leave you to read my reply below. 👇

I was contemplating on whether I should spend time replying, as my experience in life has taught me that some just have a predisposition to throw shade that goes beyond being rational. But I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt. So please don’t disappoint me and genuinely consider my words on this matter.
To explain my position, I’ll give you a real life example. Over 10 years ago, this was the headlines across western media. This is an example of the type of lies dressed in “truth” I’m talking about. So was this girl from Qatif a rape victim? Yes. Did the courts issue punishment to her? Yes. Was it due to rules found in the sharee’ah? Yes. So where is the lie? Her punishment was due to her having an illegal sexual relationship with a man. Both her and her boyfriend were in the desert doing their sin and then some other guys found them and apparently raped her (and her boyfriend as the story goes). So those guys were punished for what they did, but she was also punished for what she did, which was unrelated to her being raped. Her being raped just uncovered something else in the process.
So whats my point? My point is, the clear intent here is to suggest that she was punished for being a victim of rape, or that women in Islam, if they come forward to claim being a victim of rape, they will also be punished for the accusation or whatever. Thats the propaganda. Using true facts to pain a false picture. This is what western media does.
Back to your post. You strung together a series of events to suggest something about a country that you ‘question how they run things’ in the first place. You lead with your own personal conclusion, or the conclusion you want people to make, and used random facts (and fictions, as there were lies also) to make someone take that position. This is not what a muslim should be doing, and is more something that the west does. Maybe you didn’t realise it, or maybe you’re just a victim of propaganda yourself rather than one who wants to push it, but the fact remains, you had a conclusion you wanted people to make, and threw things out there to make people have that conclusion.
So let’s look objectively at your post. Be honest to yourself and put your bias against UAE aside.
1) DFM down 10%. True. But what is the volatility range for that market anyway? Ie whats the normal trading range to establish whether 10% is even significant? No. In the past 5 years, it’s been within a sidewards range, going up 65% and down 35% (ie the reverse of 65%…its how %’s work), and right now, we are coming up to the middle of that range (Chart attached). Nothing significant. If we had broken below that range by 3% (ie less than the 10% you mentioned) that would be more significant as it shows a change in trend. But right now, we are still within this sidewards channel. ie, nothing to see here.
2) DFM circuit breakers reduced. I don’t know if thats true, but what is true is that circuit breaker adjusting up or down don’t indicate anything besides an attempt to mitigate irrational behaviour, which can happen in markets. Like I said above, the only thing that matters is if the trend shifts, and we would only know that if any market structure has been broken. So far it hasn’t.
3) Emaar down 10%. True. But again…is it relevant? I’ve attached the log chart of Emaar, and it’s doing much better than the DFM market thats just going sideways. Emaar is on the uptrend, and shows no sign of changing that trend. Chart attached.
So far, the first 3 points are all lies dressed in truth. Let’s continue.
4) Emirates NBD down 10%. True. But I’m sure you know the routine here…I’ll just attach the chart and let you judge for yourself.
5) $75-77% billion erased in 48 hours. Is it true? Maybe. But again, thats not significant if the total value of the market was in the trillions, or if it hasn’t broken any market structure…like I said above.
So the first 5 points were all just one point, repeated with different words to make the reader think its more than it is. And its all lies as well. So not looking good so far. But let’s continue.
6) Jebel Ali port shut down. True. But it opened soon after…So nothing to see here either.
7) UAE supermarket shelves emptied. An absolute lie. Anyone who lives in the UAE knows this is the case.
8) UAE imports 80% of its food. So what? Most countries import a large % of their food. Malaysia is practically a fertile jungle but still imports the majority of its food. At this stage, it’s just stating a fact with the hope the reader will fill in the gaps with the worst case scenario. One of the richest most influential country (for its size) won’t let its inhabitants starve. Qatar had an entire GCC embargo placed on it a few years ago, and within months they were producing their own food to fill in the gap. People adapt and when you have suitcases filled with cash, you’re able to adapt faster. This is a moot point.
9) Panic buying, long cues. It’s possible on the first day some people rushed out to buy food and water. I mean, that would be normal, right? But 7 days in, or even the very next day, is that still the case? Again, more lies. In fact, the leader of the UAE decided to have coffee with the people in the mall.
10) posts about the crisis gets you punished. No, but spreading lies about it would. As well as posting sensitive information that could cause harm, like reporting on locations of defence units. This is the official message from the UAE police.

Why is this a bad thing? This is to project the defence units, protect the public and mitigate any external propaganda forces, which is a real thing by the way. We all know countries are destabilised with ‘false news’ operations. So don’t add to it. It makes sense. Why does that indicate anything negative or what does that even have to do with the title of the post, that “the UAE is collapsing”.
11) Unknown source footage = instant arrest risk. Yes. Because arrest doesn’t equal a conviction nor does it equal any formal sentence. Arresting someone who potentially can put peoples life at risk is literally the job of the police. Unlike places like the UK that allow people to get away with literal shop lifting without even getting involved.

My point was, going down by 9% is not indicative of your headline. As the same chart shows, the overall trend, even with those sell offs, is still up. With ever single sell off in the past, it always rallied higher after.
So NO, your reporting is biased and misleading. ESPECIALLY considering you said nothing about Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain who in a worse situation, you said nothing about other markets across the world like South Korea, who’s markets sold off so hard that they had to use circuit breakers to stop it going further. But all your propaganda is focused on uae.

Very VERY misleading post. I stated it’s filled with lies, so here they are.
There is no “near collapse”. Here are pictures of the markets it suggests are “collapsing”. No need for commentary, anyone can see that there is no “collapse” unless it’s collapsing to the upside. Nothing is happening out of the ordinary.
The same with Emaar properties. More deception.
Talk of long cues for food shopping and panic, again more lies. Anyone who lives in UAE knows it’s an absolute lie.
In times like this, compromised ‘news sources’ really expose themselves and their biases. It’s a good opportunity to unsubscribe when that surfaces.

I’m not going to reply to the many lies you mentioned in your point (whether you know them to be lies or not) but I want to focus on your logic. It is a Muslim nation, with Muslims citizens. The people you “hate” in the uae amount to the leadership i guess, not the actual people who get blown to bits by bombs, or suffer as a consequence of war. So what you’re actually celebrating is the mass suffering of innocent Muslims (and even non-Muslims).
Reflect on that.
It’s not like you’ve ever EVER met an Emirati in your life that supports the death and killing of Muslims in Gaza, Sudan or any other places you think they are responsible for.

I was born and raised as a Christian, so I’m speaking from some level of experience, having looks into this extensively.
Jesus never once said he was the Creator of the heavens and the earth, nor that he created mankind. Jesus himself is created like the rest of us (albeit differently to us, ie having no father, much like Aadam).
But as you can imagine, over time, messages get distorted and changed due to whatever reason. That no doubt happened to Christianity. That’s clear from the fact that nobody before that time ever entertained the idea of worshipping a person. Only worshipping God. The first two commandments is an example of that

If anyone has any issues with their gums, be it irritation, bleeding, or even infection (which is almost always the real cause of gum bleeding) then something I testify to work wonders is:
1) Salt 🧂 (I have always used pink Himalayan salt)
2) coconut oil
Steps, mix some salt into the melted coconut oil. It won’t dissolve so don’t wait around hoping it will. Then apply it on the gums, preferably in between. Use those teeth floss things to get it into the teeth between the gums.
After a few days you’ll notice some benefits, but a week would be enough for bleeding to even stop entirely. No need for chemical mouthwash or abrasive harmful solutions. Just those two ingredients.

Ok, so debrief. It’s been a while
Joined the chaincode lab’s BOSS Challenge, and they had a two part project. First is to make a wallet that can get the balance of a taproot extended private key, and part 2 is to choose a UTXO, send some money to a taproot multisig and then spend that multisig.
So completed part 1 in Python, and then wanted to push myself, so re-did that exercise using the Python code as a template to do it entirely in c++. Then did part 2 in Python. I didn’t have time to do it in c++, and unfortunately completed it last night, which was a week late 😢. But got it done nonetheless.
So what I’ve learnt?
• How to derive addresses, public and private keys from an extended private key.
• Dug deep into the OOP of Python 🐍
• Learnt how to transfer my knowledge of Python code to c++ code.
• How to compile code in c++ while integrating libraries.
• How to make my own library in both c++ and Python.
• How to construct taproot txs, bot the key path spends and script part spends.
• Finally how to write out all the necessary code and maths to do all of it manually. So didn’t use any external libraries, except to hash, as I couldn’t be bothered to code that from scratch. But I do all the elliptic curve arithmetic as well as schnors algorithm for making signatures and verifying them.
Alhamdulillah, the journey continues. I’m one step closer to transferring that knowledge about making a wallet to a production product. There is still a lot I have to learn that’s for sure. But getting there. Good to combine the technical knowledge with the Sharee’ah knowledge.

Done, alhamdulillaah.
This was a challenging experience, and worth every step of the way. Loved the story, the tasks, the challenge. It’s worth it if you know python or javascript.
I have to say, however, that the cohorts I did this year with @bitshala_org @CodeOrangeDevs and reading @jimmysong Programming Bitcoin, along with doing all the exercises and tasks in the above went a long way to completing this.
It would have taken me easily more than double the time without that year long intro, maybe triple. So if you know nothing about the inner workings of Bitcoin, never engaged with a node via rpc calls, or have no idea what an OP_CODE is, then maybe read up on those things first.
Besides this...This is a GREAT way to get into Bitcoin development. It will (or should) expand your mind in what you can do with Bitcoin, and the possibilities with this decentralised censorship resistant Halal money for everyone. Ppl often ask me about the nisaab (& therefore the zakaat) on Bitcoin. The easiest way to see the nisaab is to go to trading view and type the following:
XAUUSD*2.733/BTCUSD
You can copy/paste that if you want, & it will show you how much coin you need to be above the nisaab.
Once you have that value, count 355 days from that point, & if you have stayed above the daily value you see on the side, then you pay zakaat. Not on ramadhaan, but 355 days from the moment you were above that line (assuming you have no other money). Then just pay 2.5% from that.

In Islam, property rights are preserved, even more so than in the west (in my view) but ownership is not absolute. People around you have rights over your wealth also. Your wife, while she is your wife, has claim for food, shelter and clothing, regardless of how good or bad a wife is. While the contract is still valid (and also a short duration after divorce) she has those rights. Children likewise have similar rights and claim over your wealth. Likewise parents who may be financially challenged and other close family relatives. And finally the poor in your community have some rights.
It’s not that “because you own it, you have 100% absolute control and ownership”. You don’t, not under any system, other than the barbaric outbacks of an apocalyptic scene like mad max lol 😂.
Once a woman came to the prophet Muhammad and said “my husband is greedy and doesn’t give me what I need?” And he replied “take your needs when you need it”. It doesn’t mean she can take everything whenever she wants, but if she has basic needs that are not being provided for, she doesn’t have to get permission to take it, even if asking permission is better for a loving coexistence together. Likewise a child doesn’t need to beg for food in order to open the fridge to eat.
Maybe the most that can be said is he can determine which of his wealth they can take, but that doesn’t take away from the fact they have rights over it. Or a portion of it.

According to Einstein, if you knew all the variables of a given system, then you would be able to know how that system will be in the future an therefore there would be no free will. This is called “determinism” and it’s a whole discussion in physics.
Heisenberg with his idea of quantum mechanics, whereby things at the quantum level aren’t deterministic but rather built on probabilities, blows this idea of determinism. It suggests that it is not possible to know everything about a system, we can only know the probabilistic wave function that eventually collapses down to a range of probable outcomes. Ie, you can know the location of a quantum particle, or the momentum, but not both. This leans towards the world view of non-determinism, to which Einstein famously said “I don’t believe God plays dice [with the creation]”
So in the realm of physics, it’s still an open question based on the two above fundamentals. Not based on what “I think” or “you think” but ‘currently observable phenomena’.
There have been experiments that seem to demonstrate that our body acts before we are conscious about making that decision to act, suggesting that we are more observers of our actions than the ones choosing to do what we’re doing.
My personal view is:
1) What will happen has already been determined
2) You are fully accountable for your actions because you have free will to make choices, even if outcomes (and even your actions) are outside of your control
3) “You have only been given a little bit of knowledge” - Quraan. So because there is an absolute hard ceiling to our knowledge, what science tells us today and in the future will never gain, for us, absolute knowledge, and there will always remain things that are a mystery to us. As long as we cannot know certain things means we will always have to make choices about what to do and will always remain in the dark about outcomes.
“But how can we have free will if everything is determined?”
That last part. “You have only been given a little bit of knowledge”. You’re expecting to know and understand something you fundamentally cannot. But right now, you are choosing to pick up the phone and read these messages. That choice is observable. You know it exists without debate. But the physical world is governed by rules that, by those rules, allows future events to be known (if you knew all variables, which you and I don’t). Both realities exist. We know it exists but we can’t understand how. That’s like a lot of things. There are many things we don’t know and can’t, and there’s no debate about it. There a famous statement in physics about quantum mechanics “if anyone tells you they understand it, they are lying. Just shut up and calculate”.

We learnt in 2017 that miners serve up blocks to node runners. That’s their job.
This cycle we may find out that devs serve up code to the NODE RUNNERS. That’s their job.
In both scenarios, node runners can reject what’s being served to them, as they are the ultimate employers.
I’ve heard people say “dev don’t have to listen to you, they don’t work for you!” Well, yes they do.

In answering a question regarding th op_return debate, and what was said in this link about what happened to BSV when they released their limits, I said the following. The concern was regarding nodes hosted on hosted servers like AWS being shut down.

My answer:
Just to address the specific link shared above from grok, and hopefully the concerns raised above, I’ll try to give a more technical nuance.
1) To spend Bitcoin, you need two parts of a puzzle 🧩, as I’m sure most already know.
a) The locking script - ScriptPubKey
b) The spending script - ScriptSig
2) The Locking script is the puzzle piece that’s on the address side and usually kept in the UTXO set (a list of bitcoins that csn be spent). The spending script is only presented when the UTXO is spent, then the UTXO is removed from the UTXO set and then resided only in the blockchain data, no longer held in memory (where some of the UTXO set would reside).
3) The Op_return code simply tells the bitcoin node to ignore what comes after, and therefore doesn’t need to be held in the UTXO set (and therefore not in memory either)
4) Op_Return resides on the vout side of the transaction.
5) Inscriptions, on the other hand, it resides in the scriptsig side of the transaction, and therefore pushed into the witness side of the transaction.
6) Because it’s in the witness, it also doesn’t reside in the UTXO set. But because it resides in the witness sections, it’s calculated at 25% of its actual size.
7) OP_Return tells the node to ignore what comes after, and ordinals achieve the exact same thing by using an IF statement that always evaluates to FALSE. So the structure is OP_0 (ie false) then the IF statement, and then the ordinal payload. So when Bitcoin looks at that part of the script, it will always evaluate as FALSE and therefore it ignores what comes after. But as it’s in the witness side, then storing data here is better than OP_Return with larger pieces of data.
8) When data is stored after OP_return or wrapped in an IF statement, you would only know what that data is if you extract it. This part it’s important for the part of your question related to hosted providers detecting things. If scanning for malware, it would have to know where to scan, and they don’t scan everything. It’s not likely to expect that any anti-virus software would scan the /blocks or /chainstate folder files with each file in there being 100mb each as they are inert files, and not executables. It’s even less likely that any program that’s scanning for CSAM would go into these .dat files and then extract all the op_return data or ordinal data to then scan it, as it’s inert data. It would only trigger any sort of scan if the malicious data is extracted (and maybe also saved).
In the grok link given above, it seems that what made BSV implode was because he specifically intended on making it a data storage service. That was his intent, and due to that made other steps to facilitate that. It’s possible that due to that, extra scrutiny was taken and led to BSV nodes being shut down. What was interesting was that it led to BSV being more centralised as he had to build a wall around his nodes and then censor which nodes can join the network. So from that aspect it ‘seems’ like it’s not an exact comparison to what’s happening here with core v30.
It’s also interesting to mention that the Bitcoin blockchain, as of v27 or v28, encrypts the blockchain data using xor encryption. I found that out the hard way when I tried to ‘transplant’ blockchain data from one node to another. That would never work as each persons blockchain has its own unique encryption. So taking piece from one node won’t work with the other. The point being is that a random virus scanner or csam scanner won’t be able to know what’s on the blockchain unless it
1) first decrypts it,
2) Extracts the op_return/ordinal data
3) THEN scans it.
So just from a neutral standpoint, although I still believe we should filter spam, the fact is that increasing the op_return doesn’t do anything different than in ordinals. Both put data into the script and both tell the node to ignore what’s after it.
On the flip side, one could argue that we can plug both issues. Keep the 80bytes limit with op_return AND fix the taproot bug that allowed ordinals to have scripts larger than the pre-taproot script limit.
The bug being that since taproot, you essentially could embed larger pieces of data that you can’t do pre-taproot. This is what Luke suggested a while ago and is an easy fix. So yes, you ‘can’ do what you will eventually be able to do via removing the op_return limit, but that’s ONLY because of the taproot bug. So rather than removing the op_return limit, you could do the opposite and plug that taproot bug spam hole 🕳️ that exists.
But conclusion to your original question, there doesn’t seem to be an increased risk of triggering off some scan on a hosted server unless they are configured to also extract and scan op_return and ordinal data. What they ‘could’ decide to do is just not allow hosting of Bitcoin nodes because of the known X data type can be extracted from it. But due to the need to extract the data, from a technical standpoint, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. So if I wanted to make a targeted attack to just nodes, I could make a pythons script to deliberately extract csam data or malware and simply save it to the node. Then wait for hosted providers to find that saved data and shut down the node, and even investigate you due to it, asking why you have csam on your server. You could say it was a malicious code that extracted it and saved it for the purpose, but that seems to be the only attack vector I can see so far.

Depends what you mean by winning. For me it simply means I can spend my Bitcoin without fear of being a criminal as a result and going anywhere on Earth with everyone accepting it as money. That’s a win
