While I have nothing against the Christianity aspect whatsoever, I fundamentally disagree with Christian nationalism as a philosophy. Wholeheartedly agree… American freedom is a complete delusion npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What the fuck are we even supposed to do… this is scary npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Europe is gay, more proof #nevent1q…0z6m npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I would even go as far to say you cannot live of a fulfilling life without it 😉 hahahaha npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I think he’s correct in his main point of his message in this clip, but I’m not really a fan of his because I’m not really a fan of nationalism, it’s always seemed so arbitrary to me. Demographics, ethnicities, and traditions have always changed throughout history so when people need a flag and a made-up border defined by a government for their identity, I think they should find God lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n @nprofile…hcf9 You should answer this accusation This is possibly the gayest video I’ve seen in a while #nevent1q…davr npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Amen to that sister npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Europe is a heaping pile of complete dog shit. I’ve wanted to go back and visit again to the one country where both sides of my lineage comes from, but I genuinely just don’t have any desire to go to that continent anymore, I really don’t. I am strongly considering going to El Salvador next year to see the country for myself. #nevent1q…739s npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I guess reputation of the company would be the main thing, but it would have to be a true free market npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Seems like Bitcoiners that are “against the state” are interested in doxxing, exposing, and cancelling people that they disagree with and demanding idealistic purity to a set of pre-determined beliefs… hmmmmmm… This sounds sooo familiar, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Where have I seen that happen before? Hahaha, small-brained idiots stg npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n She’s getting so much hate but many Bitcoiners ARE in fact narrow-minded and shut down anything else simply because it’s not Bitcoin despite other coins having real utility. But again, it doesn’t surprise me that purist ideologue retards behave in such a manner. It’s the same bullshit as politics all over again… any opinion that is against a pre-determined belief system is viewed as heresy and that person is unintelligent and a traitor. #nevent1q…57ce npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What would be the incentives for them to ensure user safety? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Give up the ancap wet-dream you have brother, it will never happen. Open your eyes. Be realistic and pragmatic. Take care of your health and your craft npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Absolutely. People talk a lot about ideology on Nostr and say a lot of shit but you’re one of the few actually building and getting it done, it’s helped me immensely. I’ve onboarded my mom and multiple friends to Strike. Also I’m in my early-mid 20s, currently in banking/finance industry (realizing how fucked it is + your YouTube helped me become a Bitcoiner) while I am currently studying cybersecurity… You might hear from me in the future with an open-ended application to your company 😜 keep building brother 🤙 npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I will start this revolution this year within my family, although ham still remains the winner for me. Thanksgiving ribs and ham is how we save America from the culture war hahaha npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n If it can be added to Apple Wallet for even more secure payments, I’m all in 🙏 also hi dude, been following you + your content since April of 2024 and I’ve watched your YouTube every single week since. Thank you for all that you do npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Thanksgiving ham >>>>>>> npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n This is another reason I laugh when people say we don’t already live in a surveillance state lol. Cross border plate scanning is bullshit. Especially with all these high-tech cars now, they can track where you’ve gone when you combine the two npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Jack, you and your team should consider the ability to at least have a virtual debit card that can be added to Apple Wallet to be able to spend our cash balance on Strike directly npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n “If you think the population is gonna get smarter, healthier, and more adept at problem-solving… you’re on fucking crack” 🤣 npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n The retardation of these women to blame it strictly on “Trump derangement syndrome” for wanting to leave a country that is so obviously in decline? Imagine living in a bubble like that where you can’t even see or acknowledge or fathom the possibility of people wanting to leave? I don’t think there’s anything I dislike more now than blind adherence to any specific ideology. Open your eyes, embrace the nuance. Life is inherently uncertain. The United States is a declining nation with most major cities suffering from high crime and we produce/manufacture very little real things in comparison to other nations. 19% of men almost blows my mind, shocked it isn’t higher. Either way, just boomer energy from these two women #nevent1q…uwad npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I haven’t been able to stop thinking about future AI’s ability to scan the entire blockchain and track people down so easily to make sure that they are a compliant citizen. I am wondering if this could foster a safer nation just due to the fact that they can/will know what everyone is up to, especially given the fact that AI will play a role in policing as well. I think it would be similar to what China is like except way less extreme. (Not saying I’m in favor of this). The implications of this will be astounding. It’s strange because citizens will likely be able to keep their governments in check but governments will also be able to keep the citizens in check. I do also think it depends on the size of the country. When it comes to privacy as well, it’s also ironic because the hardcore privacy enthusiasts on here might not even be aware of the amount of data that large institutions already have on them, so I guess the game becomes trying to keep only certain aspects of your life private. Not knocking privacy of course, I just try not to put too much weight on ideology these days. #Bitcoin can and will likely solve our money problem, but that comes with the obvious expectation of KYC on/off ramps and regulation, which is where the majority of the liquidity is. It’s interesting because it allows for that, but it also allows for impoverished nations + people to participate in the protocol without any sort of requirement like that. To end this, I will say I am indeed a big fan of #Monero, but I do see it staying as a more niche cryptocurrency, likely for privacy-enthusiasts, the dark-web, whistleblowers, journalists, and political donations, etc. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Is he getting orange-pilled? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I always tend to stay pragmatic than get wrapped up in idealistic fantasy, it just doesn’t seem worth it to me. Your assessment is accurate I would say. Also highly probable. It might be fucked up for me to say that actually KNOWING that is the most likely case, I can kinda relax and somewhat forfeit because I’m just 1 guy… wtf am I supposed to do? People view this as negative but I personally think it’s hardcore realism npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Not attempting to be negative: but no matter what we do — surveillance will soon become the norm in my opinion. I think it will be a spectrum. Some countries will be bad, others not as bad, but surveilled nonetheless. And if you think about it, this is already the case to a certain extent. #nevent1q…k7nd npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Wait, what the fuck? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n He’s speaking in absolutes for sure, which I hate. But he has a point honestly. People have given me shit for this but it’s why I say if you’re in #Bitcoin, KYC and following the law + taxes is being a lawful citizen, despite the government being corrupt and filled with massive piles of dog shit. You’re not going to outsmart AI when it comes to this + a public blockchain. Want to solve your privacy? Then use #Monero, it’s that simple. Realism > Idealism. Be pragmatic. Tate can be cringe and retarded sometimes but he’s obviously intelligent and it’s obvious this shit was going to happen. Look at what’s going on in Europe. Bitcoin solves money, Monero solves privacy. The anarchist libertarian wet dream many of us on here have just isn’t going to happen and it isn’t reality nor will it ever be. A public blockchain + AI … do the math #nevent1q…4vyp npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Dude, stop playing dumb 😂 I know that YOU know it was the way you said it. You said it in the style of Andrew Tate when he says things by speaking in absolutes. Thinking things are super black and white like that is retarded npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I like the idea/concept of them. I obviously dislike if they’d be fully controlled because I dislike big government. But the convenience and ease of them would be amazing, just like how I mostly use Apple Pay. Why the fuck would I want to continue to carry around my physical wallet? Lol. But jokes aside, I think they have potential if they are implemented with respect to the user (which is iffy) npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Fr. I’m tryna get a wife and then move to a place with upside potential over the long run. I want to check out El Salvador next year npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I genuinely hate to use a term like “fear-mongering” but I honestly think rhetoric like that is why they won’t be implemented. Everything is digitized but all of a sudden a digital ID shouldn’t exist? I don’t believe they’re inherently bad, they just have to be implemented properly with appropriate privacy. People start bitching saying it’s authoritarian as if we don’t have big government and the most retarded regulations for every little thing anyway. New England is constantly contradictory. Just my take npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Are you a Christian? Also yeah I like his takes, we follow each other. Apostle Paul was one of the first people I thought of that lived fulfilling life without children npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n @nprofile…zzu7 XD #nevent1q…n80e npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n That’s me every time you post something npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I am not a fan of corrupt corporations nor governments, obviously. But at least acknowledge the nuance to the situation given something like Advanced Data Protection is available for anyone to use on Apple. It’s not binary. Also see, you want ID but only for certain things where it benefits your views. Not arguing for or against, just pointing it out npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I agree with both of your statements. I am definitely pro-privacy. But it’s still true what I said. Digital ID’s can be revolutionary, convenient, and private at the same time, it just matters how they’re implemented. I do always try to be more pragmatic about things too though. For me — realism > idealism npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Digital ID’s aren’t inherently doomsday by default, it depends on how they’re implemented and the privacy + features built into it. What do you mean “Bitcoin is tracked”? As if KYC and a public blockchain wasn’t already a giveaway lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Oh my this is fucking incredible 💀 npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n The degeneracy on X is genuinely worse day after day. I absolutely must delete my account. I think my brain just isn’t suited for social media. I would like to write longer form writings on philosophy/theology on Nostr but not sure if I’d be committed to build a bigger following to even do that. I prefer actual social discussions such as Discord and Reddit. We’ll see. But fuck X, Instagram, Facebook, etc. that shit is cancer npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Wholeheartedly agree. I used to be this way before I stepped aside from Christianity for almost a year, and for me it’s refreshing now because I get to reexamine it with an open mind without all of the noise. Doing so also helped me understand many people don’t think with their brain. They think using a flag, a nation, their skin color, a religion, a political party, etc., most people always have an agenda. A lot of it is just dogma with zero room for any nuance/grey area npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n TeslaLiberty is for liberty bro, the type of liberty where the only acceptable thing is what he says should be doing hahah npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Why is it that the people that claim to be for freedom so strongly are the same people that constantly tell others what they should and shouldn’t be doing with their lives? Lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n That too, but the bs that social media perpetuates is so infuriating to me, always has been. Nostr definitely the least shitty, but lately I’ve been seeing people speak in absolutes to pander to their base or for attention. If I wanted that I’d be on X npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Such a ludicrous statement. Great men of faith have lived extraordinarily meaningful lives without ever having children. Your identity should not be based on whether or not you have children, nor should you believe you are better than other people simply for having kids, that’s insane. And I’m not coping at all, I’m pointing out the irony. His entire post was literally an emotional rant so HE could cope. He needs to act as if every single individual should have kids just to justify the fact that he decided to have kids. Happy people don’t go around trying to convince everyone they’re happy lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I love #Nostr but then I realized it’s still social media and social media is a cancerous toxic pile of fake dog shit where people don’t operate in reality… npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n It also sounds incredibly insecure to try to force other people to have kids while you’re trying to convince everyone you have a great life by making that choice… If you truly had that you wouldn’t need to flaunt it and try to make others make the same decision you did. Most people that HAVE kids shouldn’t have even had kids, they’re awful parents npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n This is genuinely such a deluded take. It’s ironic you’re calling it an emotional response but this entire post is also an emotional response lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n In app? In Cash App? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I didn’t read the thread but I think he has a point when he says Monero will always be a more niche cryptocurrency. Monero’s privacy is obviously the best and I like Monero, but what he said about that is probably true npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I’m in my early-mid 20s and I already feel this way, very strongly. This is very well said, thank you for this post. I even found this to be the case on Nostr as well sadly, which is why I take frequent breaks. Never been a fan of any type of social media in general though, not even Nostr could fix that, lol. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n The left and the right are both so despicable in their own very different ways. I despise them both. This is pretty pathetic. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n After recent reading and more research, I tend to agree with what Hal Finney’s view of #Bitcoin was as well as Saifedean’s views. In my opinion, as much as I dislike them, I think complaining about KYC and AML is pointless. People need to stop being idealist and be way more realistic. If Bitcoin is going to be the world reserve currency one day and back global finance, KYC is inevitable and it’s a necessary component to achieve this status and high liquidity. People tend to get very wrapped up in the cypherpunk ethos and attempt to turn Bitcoin into something it clearly is not. “Cash” clearly does not mean day-to-day payments and was obviously referring to final settlement. Of course layers can be built on Bitcoin for different use cases, but this was not the intended design. The Lightning Network is great but think about scale and practicality. I cannot help but believe that Bitcoin was designed to solve different problems than what anarchists, libertarians, etc. want it to solve. And the biggest thing for me is that’s okay… The “Bitcoin as digital gold” narrative is very strong and it’s the most revolutionary invention/discovery in centuries. Final settlement + being able to maintain my money and contributed value to society over time is enough for me. For the people desiring hardcore privacy and wish Bitcoin was different in certain ways to fulfill their Ancap wet dream…… welp, just use #Monero. Bitcoin and Monero can co-exist because they simply solve different problems. Even #Ethereum has real-world use cases that aim to implement different solutions to different problems. Ethereum doesn’t try to be money, but Bitcoin maxis call anything a shitcoin that isn’t Bitcoin, which to me is an ignorant statement. I agree Bitcoin is perfect money in the general sense and I want global finance to be anchored to it, but that doesn’t mean every other coin is useless with zero utility. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What do you mean when you say where it comes from? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n #Monero bros… I have a question. What are your thoughts on Zcash? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n You know your political views are realistic and very reasonable as a human being if both sides of the political spectrum despise you. Fuck the far left woke bullshit where you cannot figure out your own gender; but also fuck your far right nationalism where you need arbitrary lines on a map and a made up flag to define your own identity. Philosophically speaking, somewhere between classical liberalism (not the retarded modern version of liberal) and minarchism is the sweet spot. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n It seems a bit anti-Bitcoin to tell people how they should or shouldn’t be using Bitcoin. I don’t even necessarily disagree with what you’re stating but just wanna point that out npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What are people discussing in his comments all of a sudden/what is his post about? Did I miss something? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Stop using Microsoft. Ideally use #Linux but at least use macOS over this privacy-disrespecting tracking piece of dog shit #nevent1q…em9p npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I don’t understand how people expect mass #Bitcoin adoption to happen without KYC and companies being regulated and compliant with the law. The majority of normies will prioritize convenience. I am not a fan of KYC nor AML. I think they’re bullshit laws that treat everyone like a victim—I’m just also not blinded by an unrealistic libertarian daydream, despite wanting that to be the case. Be practical. It was obvious that this was going to happen if mass adoption and high liquidity were going to take place. Not sure what this means for the future of Bitcoin or what privacy implications this entails long term, but I do believe I am stating the obvious here. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Let’s get it !! Niiiice npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Last time I saw you say that about the fungibility, I looked into it that day and found both sides compelling, although it took my a little bit to understand your position. Not sure where I am on that, but at least I understand where you’re coming from with this reply, lol npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Practically speaking though, how does someone pay their everyday bills with Monero? That’s the conversation about Bitcoin that does fascinate me the most. Hal Finney seemed to think it would do just fine as a store of value and eventually leading to “Bitcoin banks,” which is probably likely. I think we are still in the store of value phase, but I am not sure what MoE or UoA m would even look like irl when/if it happens. We can’t seem to get away from fiat ways of thinking, at least I can’t.. it’s all we’ve ever known so I can’t wrap my head around Bitcoin repricing things irl with the $ attached to it. i.e. It’s difficult for me to understand “1 BTC = 1 BTC” npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I would rather earn in Bitcoin due to it being inherently deflationary. There’s more I am thinking about and learning at the moment on this, but similar to what Hal Finney said in Bitcoin’s early days, I don’t think it was ever meant to solve privacy or be used for every day transactions (hence the digital gold nickname, which I think is accurate). I genuinely believe it is perfect sound money and was/is insanely revolutionary, humanity needs the ability to store our labor without being debased. One of the beauties is that you obviously can build on top of it. When it comes to this, I am not sure what this looks like and simply don’t know enough to yet to discuss the ramifications of KYC or non-KYC and the ability to have your stored wealth be spent irl to make a change to your life. I am a Gen Z’er, as you know. My main concern is my future. I want to study hard, work hard, and be able to save without getting absolutely wrecked by saving in USD, Euros, etc. I am not dismissing privacy when I say these things btw. But I definitely disagree with people when they “Bitcoin failed” if it isn’t used for daily transactions. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What the fuck man 🤣 #nevent1q…620q npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Oh.. I am a layman on this topic, lol. My Nostr buddies have way more knowledge on this subject, but I think it’s still definitely worth examining regardless of whether or not my analysis provides any meaningful value npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n 🧐🤔 I have been thinking deeply about these issues and KYC v non-KYC and the practicality of not going KYC. Fascinating stuff, much more to discuss and to learn. Considering a long-form Nostr post on this topic. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n True, but my point is I’m trying to be more pragmatic. Try to make a large purchase with your Bitcoin wealth. You’ll be ruthlessly question about the source of funds and then denied the ability to even make the purchase. This is a huge problem. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Fair point. But most people are stuck in KYC hell anyway are they not? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n How long until landlords start accepting rent in #Bitcoin? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Wait did Europe actually do something good or nah? I haven’t seen what their AI act is npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Does he think the US has any leverage? Lol #nevent1q…wgff npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Not Eastern Europe npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Meanwhile it takes 19472 centuries for a single bridge to be built in the United States. It’s pathetic. Meanwhile in Eastern Asia they build a skyscraper in like 2 hours #nevent1q…g4h2 npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Not an endorsement of this jackass… but this is why we #bitcoin. Btw… KYC or non KYC, be pragmatic — ANYTHING is better than this dog shit system. Such a scam, but the world is waking up. #nevent1q…ysdj npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I think I am going to begin DCA’ing a much smaller amount on #Strike, and then focus on mainly building up a non-KYC stack of Bitcoin tbh… Some things seem fishy to me now. I’m a big fan of Strike but I don’t want to take as big a part in KYC nanny-state with fiat but wrapped in #Bitcoin. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Someone zap me so i can test this Minibits thing npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Hi @nprofile…kvel, remember me? You told me to tag you. Minibits dropped on iOS… can you be my first zap like you promised 😃 npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I think Bitcoin is the digital monetary embodiment of libertarianism npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Enlighten me… what is that? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n This is why Bitcoin matters. It’s fucking insane that anyone has the ability to freeze funds of another individual. Absolutely ludicrous. #nevent1q…2u6u npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I think a great utilization method of #bitcoin & #monero is to hold non-KYC Bitcoin which inevitably increases in purchasing power, and simply swap a portion to Monero whenever you want to make a purchase as opposed to strictly holding Monero. You get the best of both worlds with privacy as well as appreciation in your purchasing power. This might be obvious and what many people do already, but for some reason it never really clicked for me that this was an option until now. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Fair. We need to keep this going to the point where places accept direct payment in Bitcoin for these large purchases. Vote with our feet indeed. Level up your skills, utilize remote work, seek out visas and permanent residencies npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n My point with all of this is that I don’t think my thoughts are necessarily relevant. I think I WOULD be questioned. Banks question everything, even cash deposits over a certain amount that in the bigger picture really aren’t even big amounts at all. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I agree with you in general, but it doesn’t seem the most practical way to me. Whether we like it or not, we are still governed by laws we do not choose. We are all subject to them and will face punishment if we do not abide unfortunately npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What confuses me is say you want to make a big sale of Bitcoin in the future to sell a small percentage of your stack for something that will directly benefit you in real life (car, house, etc.) Then how would the Bitcoin be utilized? If it’s non KYC that’s great, but where’s the utility in it if you’re just gonna get questioned by whatever jurisdiction you find yourself in? I have not been able to figure this out. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n When Balaji Srinivasan discusses the state of the United States (and the West in general) and talks about AI, Bitcoin, and geopolitical future, it genuinely helps me understand what is going on at a deeper level. Personally, I have mentally and emotionally checked out of the United States. I think it is a lost cause. The Left and the Right are just as retarded as each other just in their own unique ways. I do not make this statement as a cop out. I believe Balaji is correct when he says people will save up for a passport as opposed to a house. If people that know me in real life think even for a second that I am gonna study hard, work hard, and slave away for a house in a country with dog shit designed suburban sprawl anti-social car-dependent crime-filled cities with excessive regulation and stupid laws, they would be GREATLY mistaken. Not to mention the almost unbelievable level of stupidity portrayed by the average citizen on a daily basis. I see it every single day. Thankfully, I am just incredibly lucky to be someone to have papers being processed to obtain a second passport through descent. Currently, I am building my skills and saving in Bitcoin to make this future happen for me. I would love to be a part of one of the tight-knit Network state communities or something similar where my health, my community, and technology can be prioritized. The American dream was a scam from the beginning and I am beyond excited to work towards something better in the future. What a time to be alive. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n https://image.nostr.build/37a41ae6bdf2fa73e7025f4f1a67540003928ea6cb6f0d34e7d9bcbfb95e235e.jpg npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Why even use a bank at all if I could just use Cash App? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I always appreciate your wisdom. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I recommend. Balaji is brilliant. https://youtu.be/VSVOQl-vFKk npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Gotcha. Any bank account/app that is used will have your real name (I know you know this) so this is why I’m confused. Are you simply saying to just use one that isn’t your main one? What I’m saying is that with your point, even if you went “bankless” with your main bank then you can just open an account somewhere else npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Any reason for Revolut and not Cash App? (In US) npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What do you recommend that I use? Are you saying use a different bank account or use Cash App (Cash App was likely my plan) npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Holy moly. Is this too good to be true? This one seems infinitely better than Bisq. Is this what Haveno became? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n What country? npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n I agree. But I am not shy on this matter though, I love and use Strike. But, I have learned a lot and will continue to do so. I would like to build up a side stack as well via Bisq/RoboSats npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Yes, I believe you are correct. That was very poor wording on my part lol. I am speaking more to the (I think) inevitability of KYC due to ridiculous regulation, laws, banks, etc. npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n This one particularly is fascinating. You’re brilliant npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n Why does it seem like you’re fully anti-Bitcoin these days? I think if we’re being realistic, KYC + public ledger was/is necessary for the purpose of mass adoption and to just have sound money in general as opposed to infinite money printing. These design decisions weren’t an accident, especially since Bitcoin was launched right after the 08 crisis npub1h3mulfzuntqp8je4rjwtajzh82d3klerzdkjmxqgtkp00wne59ls5x3zvs vangeli0n One thing I have realized recently is that so much amazing privacy tech can be made like a great messaging app or something like Monero etc etc. doesn’t matter what it is, but if I’m the only one even using it and don’t have the people I know in real life using it, it doesn’t even mean much. Where am I gonna spend #Monero? Who am I going to message on #SimpleX? Most people are average normies or just couldn’t care less about things like this. What does it even matter?
