In 1998, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in the Reference re Secession of Quebec that any province has the legal right to pursue independence, provided there is a clear majority vote on a clear question. Two years later, Parliament passed the Clarity Act, which confirmed the same principle: if a clear majority of voters in a province vote to leave on a clear question, the federal government is legally obligated to negotiate. That’s by design Alberta holds just 6 of 105 Senate seats. That is 5.7% of the upper chamber. Meanwhile, Ontario and Quebec together control 58.8% of Senate representation and consistently vote as a bloc on issues that directly affect Alberta's energy sector, taxation, and resource management. The result is a structural imbalance that has real consequences. Federal legislation like Bill C-69, the carbon tax, and pipeline restrictions were passed with minimal meaningful input from Alberta's representatives. Yet Albertans bear a disproportionate share of the economic cost. This isn't about partisan politics; it's simple math. The math always maths and the math doesn’t lie. Under the current system, Alberta's interests will always be outvoted by central Canada. For $25, $50, $100 or $400 you can support APP's mission to educate and inform Albertans about these realities. When decisions get made in Ottawa, Alberta's voice is among the quietest in the room. https://nb.albertaprosperity.com/donate?e=10bde6a25acd9949a186ae729be18302&utm_source=albertafirstpension&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=senate_seats_imbalance_5&n=10 npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ https://image.nostr.build/79ec7a46146d7f72a12cb6a7e4743ffdbdb2134c4956572fb6a724dc2781b65a.jpg https://image.nostr.build/cc4dcfd08985b0d20f11139c498e3f146c2ce5ea89a98ac8c44da4f0c15150ce.jpg npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ ===>|-------------------------------------- CANARY STATEMENT Tomatoe paste I own myself TOX: A849D0FD25CE828C43DFC7BABC17B025F9069C202FC68CE856E2B00066FBA170D91650A43972 BTC: bc1qs4vc8yyxethje8xmyfdfrappuq8zmvlgs3wndz XMR: 47QBo29mTzgSRXx15b37yuaxQ7TDGYp5v4cNKWh9YDvp2v3bfrQvc3AiQWwuhtpijp65TPvAWURs4Mpy951rSba69mBa8Nh PGP: 6BD3B667DDDC1FDA Dated: Sun 07 March 2026 5:39 AM I am alive, am not coerced, No courts have caused me to reveal my key and this message is signed by this BTC wallet. --------------------------------------------|<=== bitcoin hash: HweNFI6xbUgu728d+2xRmyuLMpmTmN5i9IwuxA6toLDoXWcjQgC2zfhkf2gINTwrqJ+6kr3yb7gA3OJfJqoYWhE= npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ In light of PROTONMAIL revelations; can you trust the same entity that generates your PGP key and hosts your email? Based on Alberta's resource base and fiscal position, here's what our modelling suggests: In year one of independence, the Alberta government could deliver a significant income tax reduction while still fully funding its services. By year five, the province's resource revenues could eliminate the need for personal income tax altogether. There are legitimate questions about what independence would cost and those are worth asking. What the numbers also show is that Alberta has the resource wealth and fiscal capacity to become one of the most tax-competitive jurisdictions in North America. That would mean more disposable income for families, and a more attractive environment for business investment and job creation. https://nb.albertaprosperity.com/donate? npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ This week marked a pivotal moment in our fight for Alberta's future. The Alberta Prosperity Project took a stand in the Court of King’s Bench in Edmonton for an unprecedented three days, fiercely advocating for your right to vote on a crucial question: “Do you agree that Alberta shall become a Sovereign Country and cease to be a province in Canada?” Jeffrey Rath bravely stood alone against federal lawyers, provincial intervenors, and a barrage of objections. His unwavering courage and unshakeable conviction inspired everyone in the courtroom. On the final day, he delivered a powerful statement: “To find that holding a lawful referendum on Independence could ‘contravene’ anyone’s rights would be a departure from the rule of law that could bring the administration of Justice in Alberta into disrepute.” — Jeffrey Rath, Constitutional Lawyer for APP Justice Feasby has reserved his decision, but regardless of the outcome, this case is already historic. However, this fight hasn’t come without a cost. Legal battles like these demand resources—court filings, transcripts, research, travel, and legal expertise quickly add up. We are proud to be a grassroots movement powered entirely by volunteers. Every dollar spent in this courtroom represents the hopes and dreams of individuals like you—no funds from Ottawa or corporate interests, just the collective strength of ordinary Albertans standing up for what we believe in. We need your support now more than ever to ensure we can continue this crucial battle. Can you contribute today? Every donation, regardless of size, moves us one step closer to securing our future. This fight is about so much more than one court case. It’s about showing that the voices of everyday Albertans can rise up, challenge the norms, and achieve remarkable victories—not just for ourselves, but for generations to come. We’re on the brink of a transformative change. Together, we can cross the finish line! Thank you for standing with us. Your support is everything. While federal politicians in Ottawa tout immigration as an economic boon, a closer look reveals a stark reality: the true cost of supporting newcomers is being shouldered by hardworking Canadians, with Alberta bearing a disproportionate share. As population growth surges, driven by record immigration levels, the fiscal strain on public services is not just a national issue; it's eroding the prosperity that Albertans have built through resource development and innovation. Fraser Institute data paints a sobering picture of this fiscal imbalance. A landmark study revisiting immigration's impact on Canada's welfare state found that recent immigrants (those admitted after 1985) imposed a net fiscal burden of $5,329 per capita in 2010, translating to a total annual cost of $27 to $35 billion by 2014. This isn't ancient history; these figures stem from lower tax contributions relative to benefits received, with recent immigrants paying just 66% of the taxes of other Canadians while drawing on services like healthcare, education, and social supports. Even as per-capita costs dipped slightly due to better selection policies, the sheer volume of arrivals, 260,000 to 285,000 planned for 2015 alone, pushed the absolute burden higher, adding $1.4 to $1.5 billion yearly. Fast-forward to today, and the problem has intensified. From 2000 to 2024, Canada's immigrant population exploded, growing at an average annual rate of 15.1% post-2015, with non-permanent residents like temporary workers and international students now comprising a staggering 7.4% of the population. Asia and the Middle East have overtaken traditional sources, shifting demographics and settlement patterns toward urban centers. While economic immigrants make up 58-67% of permanent arrivals, family reunifications and refugees, often with lower initial earnings, add to the fiscal load. In Alberta, where Provincial Nominee Programs have ramped up to fill labour gaps in oil and gas, this means more newcomers relying on provincial services without immediate tax offsets. The federal government's 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan offers little relief. Permanent resident targets drop modestly to 395,000 in 2025 (from 464,265 in 2024), stabilizing at under 1% of the population annually by 2028. Temporary residents, however, remain high at 673,650 new arrivals in 2025, with international students alone accounting for 45%. Ottawa acknowledges "capacity for settlement and integration," citing housing and healthcare pressures, but the plan sidesteps hard numbers on taxpayer costs. This oversight ignores warnings from federal bureaucrats as early as 2022, who flagged that surging immigration would exacerbate housing shortages and service strains. For Albertans, these national trends hit close to home. The province's success in attracting migrants, through targeted programs and economic opportunities, has strained systems to the breaking point. A January 2025 analysis by Oxford Economics highlights how rapid population influxes are overwhelming education and healthcare, while driving up housing demand and prices. In Calgary and Edmonton, rental vacancy rates hover near historic lows, with average home prices climbing 5-7% year-over-year despite federal rate cuts. Healthcare wait times, already among Canada's longest, have worsened; Alberta's system added over 100,000 new patients in 2024 alone, many recent arrivals, without proportional funding increases. Economically, the picture costs everyday Albertans. While high-skilled immigrants in STEM fields can boost productivity and the tax base, the bulk of recent arrivals, lower-skilled temporary workers and students, often face underemployment due to credential barriers and occupational licensing. This drags on per-capita GDP growth, which stagnated at 0.9% from 2016-2019 pre-COVID, and fuels inflation in essentials. A C.D. Howe Institute report warns that high immigration rates reinforce urban-rural divides, benefiting fast-growing cities like Calgary at the expense of slower rural areas, while doing little to address Alberta's projected labor shortfall of 350,000 workers by 2025. The Fraser Institute's Federal Blueprint for Prosperity echoes this, linking unplanned population booms to weak labor productivity and a housing crisis that erodes living standards. Public sentiment has soured accordingly. A September 2025 Environics poll marks the first time in 25 years that a majority of Canadians say there's "too much" immigration, citing housing woes and service overloads. In Alberta, leaders like Premier Danielle Smith have called for caps, arguing that federal policies ignore provincial realities. As one advocate put it in August 2025, unchecked inflows are "building pressures" that threaten the very economic engine driving Canada's prosperity. The Macdonald-Laurier Institute adds a cultural layer, noting that mass immigration, over 5 million since 2014, can import conflicts and erode community cohesion, indirectly hiking costs through social program demands. But the fiscal math is undeniable: without reform, Alberta taxpayers could see billions funneled into supports that outpace contributions. Key Fiscal Impacts of Immigration on Canadians (National Estimates) Metric Net Per-Capita Burden (Recent Immigrants) Total Annual Fiscal Cost Tax Contribution Ratio (Immigrants vs. Natives) Added Yearly Cost from New Arrivals Sources: Fraser Institute studies; adjusted for 2025 levels. So, what now? The Fraser Institute recommends slashing admissions, prioritizing private-sector job offers at average wages, and expanding Provincial Nominee Programs to align with local needs—steps and Independent Alberta could champion. A "Moneyball" approach to selection, favoring high-productivity trades and STEM skills, could turn the tide, as outlined in the Blueprint for Prosperity. Tying targets to housing completions and service capacity would prevent further overload. Ottawa's track record shows little hope for meaningful change. It's time Alberta takes its destiny back into its own hands through independence. By controlling our borders and prioritizing policies that align with our economic strengths, we can protect our prosperity and ensure our families thrive. A Harvest of Gratitude and Grit: This Thanksgiving, Let's Think #Alberta First As the leaves turn golden and the crisp autumn air fills our lungs, Albertans gather around tables laden with the fruits of our labor, or, for far too many, a stark reminder of how federal folly has thinned those plates. Thanksgiving isn't just a holiday; it's a sacred pause to give thanks for God's abundant provision, rooted in the Christian values that built this land: humility, stewardship, and unbreakable community. But in 2025, with food bank lines stretching longer than ever, our gratitude must fuel resolve. At the Alberta Prosperity Project (APP), we're calling for a "Think Alberta" movement, one that honors our heritage while charting a path to independence, where prosperity isn't Ottawa's handout, but our own hard-won harvest. From Bounty to Struggle: The Food Bank Crisis Ottawa Ignored Alberta's prairies have long been a breadbasket of blessing, golden fields of wheat waving like prayers answered, rivers teeming with promise. Yet, this Thanksgiving, over 174,000 Albertans turned to food banks in the first half of 2025 alone, a staggering 90% surge since 2019, according to Food Banks Canada's latest Poverty Report Card. That's not just numbers; it's families, hardworking ranchers, oilfield families, and young parents, choosing between groceries and gas because of sky-high inflation and federal carbon taxes that choke our economy. In Calgary and Edmonton, child visits to food banks hit 63,000 last year, with projections for 2025 pushing even higher as the cost of living bites deeper. This isn't God's plan for abundance; it's the fruit of centralized control that starves the provinces it claims to serve. Remember the Christian call to "love thy neighbor"? When Ottawa's policies force our neighbors to queue for charity, it's a betrayal of that command. But Alberta's spirit endures, volunteers baking bread, neighbors sharing surplus, echoing the early settlers' faith-fueled fortitude. Think Alberta: Reclaiming Our Table, One Local Bite at a Time Gratitude starts at home, and this Thanksgiving, let's make it Alberta-strong. Ditch the imported imports and fill your plate with what our soil and stewardship have yielded: #Taber Corn and #Prairie Proud Produce: Nothing beats the sweet snap of corn from Taber's sun-kissed fields, a testament to Alberta farmers' ingenuity across the south. Pair it with hearty spuds from the Peace Country or berries from the foothills; every kernel supports families who weather droughts and federal red tape with unyielding resolve. Grass-Fed #Beef and Bison from the Heartland: Our ranchers raise the world's finest, hormone-free meats, grill a steak from Highwood Crossing or a roast from the Battle River Valley. It's not just dinner; it's defiance against supply chain strangleholds that ship our jobs overseas. Artisan Breads and Cheeses from Community Makers: From Edmonton's Old Strathcona bakeries to Calgary's urban farms, local loaves and wheels of aged cheddar embody the neighborly love Christ taught, baked with hands that build our communities. Buying local isn't trendy; it's biblical stewardship, tending the garden God gave us (Genesis 2:15) while bolstering an economy that keeps dollars in Alberta pockets. In 2025, with federal deficits ballooning to $62 billion, every loonie spent at the farmers' market is a vote for self-reliance. Pillars of Prosperity: Building on Faith-Founded Foundations "Think Alberta" goes beyond the table, it's a blueprint for independence, woven with the Christian values that undergird our identity: Banking with Integrity: Shift from big-bank bailouts to Alberta credit unions like Servus or Connect First, community-owned institutions that prioritize people over profits, echoing Proverbs 22:1: "A good name is more desirable than great riches." No more Ottawa-mandated fees draining our savings; local banking means capital stays here, fueling family farms and startups. An #Economy of Abundance: Alberta's resources – oil, gas, agriculture – could generate $100 billion annually if unshackled from equalization grabs. Independence means tax freedom, job creation, and food security, turning food bank desperation into overflowing larders. As stewards of God's creation, we'll innovate green tech on our terms, not Trudeau's or Carney's enviro-communist mandates. Education Rooted in Truth: From homeschool co-ops teaching biblical stewardship to trade schools honing hands-on skills, Alberta #education should celebrate our heritage – not federal indoctrination. Instill gratitude through history lessons on our pioneer faith, economics classes on local enterprise, and values that honor the Creator over the state. Christian foundations aren't optional; they're the bedrock of resilient kids who'll harvest tomorrow's bounty. These pillars aren't abstract, they're APP's core: decentralized power, economic sovereignty, and moral clarity to ensure no Albertan goes hungry while Ottawa feasts. A Call to Thanksgiving Action: Harvest Hope for Independence This October 13, as you bow heads in thanks, lift your voice too. God has blessed Alberta richly; now, let's claim it fully. In the words of Psalm 107: "He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water." Alberta, our desert of dependency ends with us. It’s a fight they never should have to wage. But imagine an Alberta where these struggles don’t exist. Where teachers are valued, classrooms are manageable, and every student gets the support they need. That future is possible in a Sovereign Alberta. By keeping our wealth here at home, we can pay teachers what they’re worth, reduce class sizes, hire the assistants and specialists our children deserve, and end the cycle of strikes once and for all. We asked APP supporter and teacher Tanya Clemens to express how she sees the future of teaching in an Independent Alberta. by Tanya Clemens As someone who has spent years in Alberta classrooms, I know the challenges teachers face every single day. Right now, teachers are in tough negotiations because our classrooms are overcrowded, their pay hasn’t kept up with inflation, and the supports for kids just aren’t there. And if it comes to a strike, that means teachers will lose part of their salary; fighting for things that should have been addressed years ago. Here’s the reality: Alberta’s student population has grown by 90,000 in just five years - the size of a whole new school division - but without the staff or resources to match. Classrooms are stretched to the breaking point, and complexity is rising every year. More learning needs, more behavioural challenges, more emotional support required; but the number of adults in classrooms hasn’t kept up. Meanwhile, Ottawa drains $20–25 billion a year out of Alberta. $20-$25 billion hone, with no services in exchange. That’s about $6,000 for every Albertan. That’s money that never reaches our schools and our students. On an average teacher’s salary, sovereignty could mean thousands of dollars more in your pocket every year. In a sovereign Alberta, we could: Pay teachers what they’re worth. Reduce class sizes by controlling immigration and matching growth with real investment. Hire more skilled educational assistants and specialists so teachers aren’t left alone in complex classrooms. Ensure money allocated to school divisions actually reaches where it matters most: our students. And guarantee no teacher has to lose weeks of pay just to demand the basics. Teachers already give their evenings, their weekends, and even their own money, because we love our students. But imagine what more we could do if Alberta kept its wealth here and built an education system that truly valued teachers, parents and kids. npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ In case you missed it here are a few examples of a sobering pattern of events: Montreal fined a church $2,500 for hosting Christian worship (many other cities have pulled permits last minute too). Atlantic Canada banned citizens from hiking and fishing (even on their own property). BC courts handed hundreds of acres of private property because of a First Nations land claim. This isn't Canada anymore. It's a place where you can't worship freely, access public lands, or even count on owning your home. An independent Alberta would constitutionally protect these fundamental rights, placing them beyond the reach of activist courts, power-hungry bureaucrats, and a Canadian public that seems to enjoy their chains. Mr. Kirk succumbed to his injuries earlier today, as confirmed by statements from public figures and close associates. Charlie Kirk was a steadfast champion of freedom of speech, particularly on university campuses, where he tirelessly opposed restrictions on open dialogue and championed the exchange of diverse viewpoints. Through Turning Point USA, he empowered young Americans to defend constitutional principles and resist ideological censorship, leaving an indelible mark on the pursuit of intellectual liberty. Renowned for his willingness to engage with individuals across the political spectrum, Mr. Kirk participated in debates, interviews, and discussions with liberals, conservatives, and independents alike. His commitment to respectful political discourse was epitomized by his own words: "If you disagree with me please move to the front of the line," reflecting his belief in dialogue as a means to foster understanding and bridge divides in a polarized society. Demonstrating remarkable courage, Mr. Kirk continued to hold public events despite facing numerous death threats throughout his career. His unwavering resolve to promote his beliefs, even in the face of personal danger, exemplified his commitment to his principles and inspired many to stand firm in their convictions. A devout Christian, Mr. Kirk’s love of God was a cornerstone of his life and work. He frequently spoke about his faith, weaving biblical principles into his advocacy for moral clarity, family values, and national renewal, thereby inspiring countless individuals with his spiritual conviction. Mr. Kirk leaves behind his devoted wife, Erika Frantzve, whom he married in 2021, and their two young children: a daughter born in 2022 and a son born in 2024. The APP extends its deepest condolences to Erika, their children, and the entire Kirk family during this period of profound loss. "Charlie Kirk's commitment to liberty and faith resonates with the values we uphold at the Alberta Prosperity Project," said Mitch Sylvestre, CEO of the APP. "His courage and dedication will continue to inspire our efforts to secure a prosperous and free future for Alberta." The APP expects a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of this tragic event and urges all to reject violence, embracing the principles of peace and mutual respect that Mr. Kirk exemplified. npub1hjt7eq9vwj3xmzwqm8ueq602mgmnqqe5e2kncskgcs24mqapj4yqr5xd5s sêkwêstkwân ᓭᑫᐧᐢᑎᑳᐧᐣ https://albertafirstpension.nationbuilder.com/?recruiter_id=351868 Have you read the proposed pension action? At the most conservative estimate, the average Albertan will keep 20%+ more of their income if Alberta becomes independent. What would you do with a 20% raise while adding nothing to your plate? The first year of independence will see massive reductions in income tax, trending to reach 0% income tax within the first five years. Think about that for a second. The average Canadian loses 40% of their paycheque to taxes, one way or another. I can’t even say that without wanting to wave my hands in the air. Businesses will pay less taxes too. That may not sound as exciting, but what will it mean for you or your partner if Alberta becomes North America’s most tax-friendly jurisdiction? When top companies come back to Alberta with high-paying jobs in classic and new business sectors? What will that mean for your kid’s career opportunities? For your retirement? Retirees will receive the same OR BETTER in an Alberta that’s not supporting the rest of the country. The media is painting the doomiest gloomiest outlook they can. “Alberta can’t survive without Canada” solemn-faced ‘experts’ say (as they pocket your tax money). Yet it is Alberta that supports Canada, not the other way around. They know this and they can’t afford to let you know it. They’ll gaslight you, guilt-trip you, and swear to change, but you can do better. It’s not even that hard. Like I said at the beginning – 10 minutes to a better future. Pledge today to say “yes” to the referendum on Alberta’s sovereignty. “Yes” to less taxes. “Yes” to keeping over 20 billion of Albertans’ money (each year!) instead of sending it to support provinces like Quebec who refuse to develop their own resources while sneering at us for getting the bills paid. If I had a friend with a boyfriend that treated her like the East treats Alberta, I’d help her get out. So let me encourage you to get out. Don’t let them scare you into hiding your head in the sand and hoping that things will somehow magically get better if you do nothing. We have the power to make things better for ourselves, our friends, and our families. Vote “yes”.
