Kirk was a bog standard conservative. And he was a gate-keeper for the establishment right. A lot of us didn't particularly like him exactly because we are considerably more radical than he was, and because we saw him as someone the establishment right sent out to sheepdog young men back into the moderate fold.
Now, here's the thing. We more radical types still have empathy for people who have been unjustly harmed. Remember that study that came out a while ago that showed how people on the left cared more about dead rocks on the other side of the universe more than the humans around them? This is a perfect example.
The left can't meme because the left has purged itself of any sense of humor. The only time a leftist seems to laugh is when a perceived enemy suffers or dies. The leftist have cut themselves off from normal human connections and normal human feelings, this despite their constant claims to be the empathetic and caring ones. The leftist has no friends, just allies of convenience; people they will abandon or turn on the moment they express an opinion that is slightly out of line with the current narrative. The left rejected God, and in His stead they worship the state and their own ego. Leftists ultimately have no principles. They only desire power, the glorification of the self, and the suffering/humiliation of those they designate as their enemies.
In short, the left is composed largely of vicious dysgenic sociopaths and psychopaths. They are the latest incarnation of the Bolsheviks, gleeful to shoot, starve, and send to the gulags all the Kulaks. They are the latest incarnation of the Red Guard, delighting in humiliating and harming anyone that dares disagree with them. They are the man clubbing people to death in the killing fields of Cambodia, robotically carrying out orders because they are convinced by their ideology the people they murder deserved it.
Whether it's because they organically lack the ability to empathize with other people, or because they've had that part of themselves killed off by their ideology is, at this point, almost irrelevant. What matters is that they have shown, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they are like a serial killer. They feel nothing for others beyond the sadistic glee that comes from the suffering of others. They are a political movement made up of people who are akin to a pack of would-be Jeffrey Dahmer's.
Have you wondered why so many people have abandoned the left recently and joined the Republican party? Do you really think all these people, many life long Democrats, suddenly and for no reason became Nazis? Yeah, you probably do, don't you? Well the truth is they left the left precisely because of people like you, precisely because of the kind of attitude you express here. You and people like you are monsters. You can't see it, but those people that left the Democrats and joined the Republicans can.

And what none of you seem to realize is that in killing him and celebrating his death, you have insured that we, the actual hard right radicals, will be empowered. Kirk wanted to talk to you, reason with you, debate ideas with you. He wanted to operate within the bounds of the system. We actual hard right types knew all along that was a fool's errand, because you can not be reasoned with. You killed him, danced on his corpse, and in so doing you drove all the young men that liked him into our arms. You did this, and now even barely politically aware normies are disgusted with you. The getting away part is what makes me raise my eyebrow. It's unlikely that some freakish gender goblin could make that shot. Unlikely, but not impossible. Assuming the shooter had good equipment, lots of practice, wasn't too emotionally unstable, and had a bit of luck.
But to then slip away and evade detection and capture for this long, to not even have a vague description put out there despite being the perpetrator of a crime so infamous that the President immediately gets on TV to condemn it, ... that smacks of this being done by someone who had lots of help, help from people who know how to do something like this. No, I don't think he's concerned about solving the nigger problem. But people at the top are often isolated in ways no one else is. Current events, things that are really going on that real people actually care about, that's all discussed on social media now. In a weird way people here and on 4chan and other sites have their finger on the pulse of what people actually think and actually care about in a way the President or the CEO of some large corporation don't and can't.
People at the top usually have a narrow focus, and they're surrounded by people who are, for lack of a better term, parasites of power. Their wealth and success depend on the big man doing what they want, giving them his blessing. That means it benefits them to restrict the flow of information to the boss, to keep the conversation centered on things that benefit them, to blank out unpleasant ideas and facts.
Yeah, I can believe Trump was unaware of the killing of that woman on the light-rail, at least until Miller or some other fire brand brought it to his attention. No, I don't think he cares about it in the way you and I do, but I do think his ego is big enough so that when he is made aware of it and realizes how pissed off so many are about it, he will at least have to speak about it. In the absence of real concern, cold, rational self interest can serve nearly as well.

I was never an "idealistic liberal marching for civil rights", but what he describes can be largely applied to me and a hell of a lot of other people. You grow up with the MLK dream being your default setting, then over the course of decades real life slowly beats that out of you. Eventually you reject all the old nonsense and come to realize that, yes, Segregation and Apartheid and all that other stuff existed for a logical reason and not because there was a group of white people who became evil and racist out of nowhere..
It's a bitter pill to swallow, but you get more comfortable with it as time goes on. The fact that this former civil rights marching liberal has made the same transformation gives me hope. Things are changing. I never thought they would. I might not live to see the transformation back to some kind of sanity on the issue, but my nephews most likely will. That gives me hope.

I would disagree. Most blacks - ghetto blacks and racial grievance types - are like a woman's ego, bottomless pits. Giving them every material thing in the world wouldn't really change their attitudes. Yes, they want the good things in life, preferably without working for them. Yes, they resent those that have more than them.
But in the end their resentment runs deeper than that. They hate whites because they look better than them, because they're smarter than them, because once upon a time some distant relative was enslaved by a white, because whites are more graceful, etc. Give them every goodie and gadget, a fine house, all the clothes they could want, endless food of their choosing, free medical, and what would they do? They would turn that house into a wreck, like they do with their homes and apartments now. Money allows you to be more of what you already are. Making hood-rats rich would just make them hood-rats with lots of shit, but still hood-rats. There would still be monumental entitlement, resentment, anger, violence. There would still be a massive feeling they are owed more from whites. It's like those assholes that got on their knees and kissed the feet of blacks during the BLM riots. Blacks didn't somehow forgive them. They certainly didn't respect them. If this actually spurs Trump to federalize DC city government and policing, it could actually be a good thing. Federal crimes lead to federal time. Very little in the way of time off for good behavior, and the judge has relatively little leeway in the time they give you. Crime A earns you time B, with a list of positive and negative mitigating factors. They figure out what things apply to you on the list, tally it all up, and that's the time you're given.
Since DC is a federal territory, if the fed-gov takes over policing, every assault, burglary, shop lifting case, car jacking, and corner store robbery becomes a federal issue, earing the perp federal time in a federal pen. There are an amazing number of black people living in DC, and they commit the vast majority of the crime. Put all those little fuckers away in a super-max, watch crime drop, and at the same time shame the other big cities for not doing the same. That would make Big Ball's ass whoopin almost worth it.

The internet exists. Everyone everywhere has the sum total of human knowledge in the palm of their hands. I guess this is at the core of my argument. My politics at this point is I am, generally speaking, for whatever seems most likely to help my people and culture survive as long as possible in as healthy a state as possible. Communism/socialism (at least when implemented to any great degree) fails that test. What we have now also fails that test. For different reasons, but they both fail.
I look at something like the Byzantine empire, see that it lasted for a thousand years despite being under almost constant attack, and I can't help but be envious of that longevity. As an aside, in the Byzantine empire it was illegal for a Jew to hold any government position or to teach.

All those countries and places Jews were expelled from in the past? Those were all done under Monarchies, or by executives with what amounted to monarchical powers.
The civil servant that serves under a monarch serves at the pleasure of the king. He can be fired at any time, for any reason. Thus, while he can become corrupt, he risks being sent to rot in prison for decades or even executed if word reaches the king's ear.
Trump tries to shut down the Department of Education, a part of the government more useless than an inflamed appendix, and he has to spend months fighting his way through the courts, hoping some asshole in a black robe will give him permission to do what is obviously within the President's purview.
The problems are always there, universal in fact. The question is can you devise a system that can deal with it when it crops up? Can effective action be taking in a timely manner, or is your system paralyzed with bureaucracy? What are the chances a corrupt official receives the punishment they are due? And most importantly, which system is the most stable/most unstable?

All political figures can be bought. You either have one king, or a thousand thousand civil servants who remain largely invisible, and so can do more mischief before they are caught. You also have several thousand elected officials. It is almost mandatory that they be bought off by this or that special interest group or wealthy donor, otherwise they couldn't compete on the campaign trail, and they would never be allowed to become the nominee for their party for the seat they are running for.
If a king becomes too corrupt and incompetent, he will be destroyed by the nobles under him, another king, or even by his own people rising up. When was the last time you can recall a corrupt or incompetent civil servant being justly punished? When was the last time you can recall a federal level politician or governor being held to account for their terrible decisions, their incompetence, their contempt for the people, their corruption? Almost never. These people either get off scott free, fade away with a fat bank account, stay in office until they die of old age, or occasionally get a slap on the wrist.
We are already ruled by corrupt, incompetent, venal tyrants who have contempt for us and a terminal disregard for the country. The only real difference is a king can actually get things done when he wants, everyone knows who's to blame when things go wrong, and occasionally you get a good and competent king. You always, always get corrupt and incompetent elected officials and civil servants, and so nothing positive ever gets done. You get the thing you worry about either way. With democracy you get the illusion that you have a say in how the government runs. And that's all it is, an illusion meant to mollify you. You are less likely to rebel if they tell you you elected the people you complain about, so ultimately you are responsible.

Father's cousin got cancer and went through chemo. Every time he came home from a treatment he looked like utter hell. When he came back from his second to last treatment he said he wasn't going to any more. He ended up dying just a couple of years ago, around 35 years between then and now. Not making any claims either way, just noting that for him chemo was real rough.

The Talmud is a book of legalistic argument, detailing all the laws, and then all the loopholes in the law. Think of it as a religion created by that character from the show Better Call Saul. A religion of creepy and corrupt personal injury lawyers.
When Hadrian went in, destroyed the temple, killed a shit ton of Hebrews, and scattered the survivors, they were faced with a crisis. Without the temple they couldn't properly practice their religion. The Pharisees reorganized themselves so that the various rabbis became the center of their religion instead of the temple. Spent much of my early childhood living next to my mother's parents. Was over there all the time watching their big ass console TV. Bonanza, Wild Wild West, Rifleman, all that stuff. Can't see it now without thinking about them. My other grandmother always seemed to have on Wheel of Fortune. Somehow it was on whenever I was over, like she had some special channel for it or something, even though she didn't have cable.

Soros (and probably others) figured out it was cheaper and more efficient to fund DA's who would not enforce certain laws than buying politicians to create new laws. He got closer to what he wanted via non-action than action.
One of the counters to that, to play Devil's Advocate, is the feds could threaten states by withholding federal funds if they do not comply in this or that area. Republicans would never do such a thing, but Democrats would.
