We read the clipboard to verify if the user pasted anything (so we could render previews). Now we have a better way to deal with this and the issue is fixed. It will be available in the 3.0 patch 1 release.

The app only reads clipboard on the login screen. It could be your keyboard app reading your clipboard and suggesting to paste it. I see that with SwiftKey keyboard for example.

Which feed? How often this happens?
Any particular error message at the end of the feed?
Does the feed just works after force-quit or maybe you do pull to refresh on re-opening?
Try pull to refresh (without force closing the app) next time it happens, and let me know if it helps or not.

Hey @nprofile…6aua, you are looking for `PrimalUploadService.kt`, can be found in primal-android-app repo under `networking-upload` module which is in charge of blossom uploading.
Mirroring with Haven did not work because Haven does not support BUD-04 (which we're using for mirroring). Not sure if anything has changed recently. Check this thread for more details.

In production, both Android and iOS currently have their own business logic and communication layers implemented separately. In upcoming releases, we might use a shared codebase across both platforms. As for the swap-in approach using your own Strike account, this needs to be handled on the server side and wallet server is not open-sourced for security reasons.

`PrimalShared.xcframework` is built from Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) code in `primal-android-app` repo. It's just an aggregation of standalone multiplatform modules from the Android app. The business logic for wallet on the client side is not yet KMP friendly, but it's going to be soon along with some other benefits as well. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Can you try manually changing the aspect ratio of the app? Hold the Primal icon -> Tap 'App info' -> Scroll to 'Aspect ratio' and open it -> Instead of 'App default', try other options.

Yes, 404 is the correct response when not supported. Not sure about nostr.build account, though. I can see successful responses in the logs for blossom.band mirroring.

They don't support BUD-04; I believe someone mentioned this earlier.
I just checked your blossom list - mirroring is failing only to your private blossom server, returning an HTTP 404 response from server.

Your server is not supporting BUD-04 spec. This is why mirroring is not working. Primal app is hitting your server with `PUT /mirror` and gets 404 as response. You have to update your server with BUD-04 if you want this to work.

Decoupling the Android app was already in the pipeline, and we were also looking at how to add local caching on iOS. Since only the Android app had local caching so far, trying out KMP felt like a good opportunity. We split some code into KMP modules (instead of regular Android ones) and exported them as an XCFramework for the native iOS project to use.
This is just an add-on to the existing native projects to help avoid duplicating business logic. It’s totally optional—each native project can either use the shared code or roll their own solution.

We are compiling the Kotlin code as an XCFramework package, which is then imported into a native Swift project. In this setup, step-through debugging of the Kotlin code is not possible. We use the `AAkira/Napier` KMP library for logging, and logs can be viewed in Xcode.
However, if you set up a Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile project, both Kotlin and Swift code can live side by side in the same project, allowing for much better interoperability and full source-level debugging.

Primal Android 2.2 was released this week, bringing some long-awaited features. But that’s just one side of the story - back in March, we began decoupling our monolithic Android app into Kotlin Multiplatform reusable modules for both Android and iOS. Here are two major milestones we’ve achieved:
- Blossom Uploader: The first multiplatform module to be integrated into Primal iOS 2.2. Once development was completed for Android, it took us just a few hours to integrate it on iOS. The module can be found in `core/networking-upload` in the `primal-android/app` Git repo for anyone interested. 
- Local Caching Repository: We’ve completely decoupled the data layer for all social app features, achieving a clear separation of concerns. The app is now fully agnostic to the source of the data, using only domain models and interfaces to interact with it. It always communicates with the repository, which handles data retrieval and storage in the local database from one or more remote sources (currently just our caching service). We are one step away from completing proof-of-concept tests on the iOS app with this module, and the Android app is already using it in production. This multiplatform module can be found in `data/repository-caching`.

Are you adding media file from gallery or camera? Try both. Camera icon gets disabled if app can't get a uri to save the picture - maybe that is the case.

Here is what I see in the logs. The app is sending Content-Length header. Can you debug your backend to see what is happening when request comes in? The request should work even without Content-Length since this is an optional header per blossom spec.

Primal uploads to the default server and then makes mirror requests (BUD-04) to mirror servers in the background with fire & forget approach. Mirror servers are actually downloading the file from default server.

I think it's not the same. This backspace issue is very specific and can be easily reproduced every time. Both issues are realy strange. Since Amethyst is also having this backspace issue I suspect that it might be because of the ui framework we use.

I was able to reproduce this backspace bug on both Primal Android and Amethyst on GrapheneOS with built-in keyboard. Tried to fix it, but there is nothing I could do. I think this might be the keyboard bug actually.

1) You can reorder the feeds in Settings->Feeds screen; The first feed is the default one.
2) It used to work like Twitter, but we had some gap issues and this was the compromise we had to make. At some point after v2 release we might revisit the implementation and try to improve it.

You can change the default feed in the web app: Go to Settings -> Home Feeds, and then drag & drop the desired default feed on top of the list. We plan to support this as well on Android at some point in the future, but not sure when exactly.

Is there some kind of metadata about the blob in blossom? If not, is it even possible as an extension on the protocol?
It is very useful for clients to understand the data before downloading the actual data. One good example would be image resolution so apps can prepare the layout properly before image is loaded. This helps with performance and cleaner ux.

Nostr is constantly improving and evolving. That would be the main reason.
Primal implemented the first relays solution and we are currently in the process of implementing the new relays list across all Primal apps.

Using Primal Web or Primal iOS you could set your relays in Settings -> Network. Open Network settings (apps might prepopulate with some popular relays) and make a change to the list so update gets triggered. This does not make changes to your NIP65 relays. Afterwards it should work.
I hope other apps are not clearing relays from contacts list when using NIP65.
Anyways we plan soon to improve relays handling across the entire platform so this is only temporarily.

Primal Android app reads the relays from the content field of the contacts nostr event. I have just checked and both your and @npub1pry…2xcv's contacts list have empty "content" fields. Because of that the app doesn't know where to post the notes and shows the error.
Can you check if you have published your relays list on other client?

Tag editor on Android is yet to be done. In the meantime mentions and note tagging works if you manually paste "nostr:note" or "nostr:npub" links in the editor.
