TL;DR : it's safe, especially with reputable charger brand, cable brand and phone brand.
Note that I had issues with shitty gadgets (like 10 bucks kid's camera or cheap audio device like music box or so) but it just refuse to charge and nothing bad should happen.

I hate it, and recognize them from 100m away, fake pizza, fake ice cream, fake t-shirt illustration, fake people in front of fake landscape showing fake expressions...
I find them so creepy and feel like these business just want to sell me something fake.
I'm even resistant to use any AI for blog or article illustration, I feel fake myself when using it but I get why many do, it's so easy, fast and cheap and if you don't, you get crush by the one using them because they are faster and looking better to most people.
Maybe we will get use to it or the wold will split in 2, the perfectly fake AI world and the charming ulgy reality.

For sure it's a bubble. They are overselling non profitable products that doesn't exist yet as advertised. Sure it will not stop, AI is here to stay, but the value we are projecting to it and these myriad of companies coming out of nowhere will not survive indefinitely. Like the internet bubble there will be some big winners and many losers.
The most important question, when it will burst, what will be taken down with it ? All tech stocks will suffer, even the one not related to AI and what about Bitcoin ? It will also take a hit (I mean in term of fiat price, it will still work perfectly fine) which make no sense directly but it's like that with so many clueless investor in the boat via ETF, MSTR and shit.

I know someone working at the national movies preservation institute (local name is different but it cannot be translated), anf he showed me the rooms full of old films recorded on cellulose nitrate, highly inflatable film that they have to keep in cooled, anti spark, fire proof rooms anf still deteriorate with time. They have equipements to digitalize these but only limited ressources and time to do it, so it's a matter of deciding which one to copy in priority.
The cool stuff is that they also store 35mm movies and project them regularly in the oldest theater in the city (if not country). It was magical to see some old movies in that format on a big screen, like Lost In Translation, Gremlins and soon will be E.T.

In Switzerland it's not taxed and nobody want to pay in Bitcoin. Even in Lugano were Tether and the city gave hundreds of Bitcoin PoS, making it one of the biggest concentration of Bitcoin accepting merchants and services, it's not really used.

Telegram is super easy to setup so it's often the prefered choice to start but I had to fight with my agent to try to setup Matrix with E2EE but it never worked with encryption, it always offer to fallback to clear channel, I refused. In the end I had to order a free SIM, and setup a Signal account for it.
Then I stopped using my agent soon after... But I might start over again, not sure if I would use OpenClaw again or another one, I see you use Hermes, is it good ? Same level of possibilities than OpenClaw or limited to chat only ?

Complètement ridicule. On paye déjà les coûts de la voiture, coût drs accidents ? Vous voulez que les gens utilisent moins leur voiture ? Faites des métros partout toutes les 5min, même jusque dans les villages, des trains haute vitresses qui divisent pas 2 ou 3 un trajet en voiture entre les villes. Quand il faudra 30min en transport public porte à porte, avec un train toutes les 5min, contre 45min en voiture sans bouchons, plus grand monde ne voudra prendre sa voiture.
En plus cela va réduire la pression des loyers en ville, augementer l'attractivité des villages connectés, développer l'économie globale de la suisse.

I bought a 2TB external SSD to migrate a Bitcoin node but it stopped working after cloning for a few hours, it crashed like at 98% so I must assume all node information are on it and don't dare to send it to repair. Now it must br worth much more than when I bought about one year ago. Warranty is 5 years so I was thinking to close all channels and migrate to a new node but it works pretty find and have good reputation so I didn't do it yet...

Not confirmed by Umbrel or BTCPay dev yet but here is what I did and it looks like it worked on my Umbrel:
PLEASE CONFIRM THAT IT'S CORRECT BEFORE DOING IT BLINDLY
Open Umbrel WebUI, stop BTCPay (right click on icon -> stop).
Update BTCPay to version 2.4.2 if not done already. After update, stop it again as it will start automatically.
Stop Lightning (right click, stop)
SSH into your umbrel from a terminal on your machine (or from the terminal in Umbrel settings).
ssh umbrel@your_umbrel_ip
First I did backup the macaroon just in case, but I guess it's not needed, up to you:

What merchants use to accept Bitcoin the proper way. It also allows to have Lightning Address, user accounts, boltcards (contactless Lightning Bitcoin payment cards), do swap for fiat or Lightning to on-chain...
A lot of use case and supposedly the most advanced and serious open source app for these use cases. Good that they patch so fast, too bad that many node OS have delay for updates (some times weeks or a month late...).

They fucked up with the wrong Bitcoiner.
It's too late for him, her, they. Even if they would decide to return the money, they could not do it. Sending back to the original address would just let someone else steal it, and as anyone is able to get the private keys eventually, it would be very hard to prove that you were the original owner of the key. If you control the previous address in the chain you would still have to prove that you didn't sell the bigcoins to the owner of the hacked address. Ironically, those who withdrew directly from a KYC exchange to the leaked address could claim it somehow. But anyone unless it happens, there is no reason to talk about it.
Is there any insurance cover Bitcoin thief in self custody ? I think I have seen such service once, wondering if they had a close in case of massive "bug" or hack like this to exclude it from the coverage.

I'm sure some will find their way to secondary market, make you you migrate all funds and change all password or anything generated by the device, then properly format it, maybe regenerate some seed and format t multiple times, then you can sell it, but for cheap, like a calculator price. 🫣

Violation penality is just part of the budget, like a tax, if it's still profitable to violate law and pay the penalty, many companies will do it.

There are still use cases, it should theoretically still be able to keep safe a properly generated key, verify and sign. And the Q has also some interested dev and fun use cases, still not worth for the price and trust will be lost forever. I don't see how they could recover from it, but Trezor and Ledger both had reputation issues and still survived. Was not as bad still.

Got 2 of them, from disposable emails that I used to simulate shipping cost in cart and never order anything.
Oldest was created 4 years ago, receive an email on it for the first time yesterday.
Data retention hygiene my ass !
I recommand everyone to use unique email alias like this (included in Protonmail sub) to know exactly where an email is coming from, got a lot of surprise since using it and fishing / spam fighting is get way easier to manage.

Ok, but why ? Do you trust TI and your script more than Tails + Electrum or GrapheneOS + BlueWallet ?

Ok now that we have access to hundreds of private keys with various history and amounts that got drained from hackers and nobody could ever prove that it belong to them or not before that, it's time to find the one wallet with matching amount that we want to lose in a boat accident from a tax point of view...
