Question for better hackers/security people than me (pretty much everyone, that is)
If a random guy tells you to use their hotspot, what kind of info are you likely to lose?
Of course, no banking, no buying, etc. But watching YouTube? Safe or not?
My youngest just accepted a stranger's hotspot while travelling halfway around the globe. Sigh. I have failed as a mom.

Eldest kiddo is now in ICU in a foreign country. This mom here is pretty stressed out.

I solved it just before you posted.
I already had a readonly user, but the python script was failing.
I had to recreate one from scratch, also adding it to the master database. That was the keypoint. But the master database is not exposed (from what I can see) in the Azure portal.
So I had to install the VSCode mssql extension in order to find it.

why is Azure so f*&*&Ying complex??
All I want is a read-only user that can access my brand new Azure SQL database so my python script can keep on working.
It works just fine if I use the master SQL admin, but let's say I don't feel comfortable dropping that password on the web, okay ? I really want a read-only access!
This shouldn't take me hours to figure out!
EDIT: after a walk outside, I was able to get it to work. Phew!

The ebook reader did it for me, too. So much handier than a paper book! I can knit and read quite easily. I can read while I eat as I am not scared if I drop food on the pages. Or liquids.
The other clincher for me was joining my local Silent Book Club.
