CentOS Stream updates are published after QA, and Red Hat's engineers have been pretty clear about that for years. I'm surprised there are still misconceptions about this.
If you aren't familiar with Carl, do note that he was part of the CentOS team at Red Hat.

That's not really what CentOS Stream is, though. CentOS Stream is a major-version stable release, just like CentOS Linux was.
But unlike CentOS Linux, Stream is supported all year long. CentOS Linux was unsupported for 2-3 months out of the year, every year. That's not a good security posture.
It is very very likely that the people who've told you about Stream have also never used it. Since I do, I can say: It's good! Much better than the old process.

Firmly agreed. Paraphrasing, especially as a way to communicate how one feels about a statement will almost always hit 1 and 2 and 5, with a sprinkle of 4, and notes of 3.
It really is a perfect storm of unhelpful dialog.
Perfectly legitimate to quote someone and talk about the logical conclusions, or the way the statement is perceived, or how you feel, but it's almost always unfair not to start with what someone actually said, in their own words.

5: Criticism should be constructive. It should identify a specific issue, and conditions under which that issue would be considered to be resolved.

4: Avoid metaphors. Metaphors are often good because of the connotations they carry, but we do not all have the same context for any given metaphor, and especially during negotiation or conflict resolution that can make others defensive.
