Looking closer, the chassis itself may have been OD. The container looks proper dimension, 108 inches but the chassis looks wider than the container so that would require oversize load banner so overweight and oversize and brakes were on fire. Im assuming brake failure by appearances

Yep on the lengths and weights... the box was riding on a heavy weight chassis so, despite it's size, it may have been overweight, requiring signage. It wasn't over dimension but could've been overweight

Right now, in my opinion, it wouldn't really work due to too many confusing rules and limitations as GMRS shares with FRS and limited business band radios. Not enough frequencies or channels and too many conflicting rules concerning power

I dont know much about GMRS. I have a license but no radio. There was a movement a number of years ago to drum up interest in the trucking community but nothing really recently. Simplex would work good in the trucking community but there are too many turds in the repeater portion who want to charge membership fees to use the repeaters.

I’m Gen-X. Of course I write and speak English. I wasn’t educated by STEM idiocy. Most of my teachers were mature conservative educators. Plus the small class size was a bonus. The teachers were much more willing to give students individual time to address issues. My graduating class was 36 seniors…. Can’t beat that kind of education

Ah the joys of breaking down on a holiday weekend. Company performed a fuel island inspection and decided I need a couple of new tires. That morphed into “a necessary inspection” and other odds and ends. Getting a bunch of stuff “fixed” that don’t need fixing and of course this screws up my schedule. Lost a 1700 mile weekend/holiday run because of this bullshit

Dang! That was a good dinner. Forgot to grab a pic though. Couple of hamburger patties with sautéed mushrooms, onions and red bell pepper strips, topped with melted italian blend shredded cheese and a couple of bread and butter dill pickle chips. Steamed veggies on the side.
I think the next time I get frozen burgers, im gonna get either 85% or 91%. Just a tad bit too much grease, interfered with the maillard reaction... no sear on the "other side" of the patty

Whew! didnt realizde how much of a wreck my bathroom was until i began deep cleaning it! about 90% done. letting the floor dry so i can sweep what i couldnt sweep before without breaking it up with the mop. cardsboard tends to stick if it gets wet and you leave it...lol
i need to let the apartment manager know the bowl bolts are rusted and it needs a new gasket. noticing the dreaded black decayed rubber seal is coming out

I DID manage to save a pack of bacon as it was still vacuum sealed. Everything else was in non sealed packaging. Still had ice chunks floating in it sonit never got warm enough to spoil. I'll just have to make that pack the next weeks breakfasts

Well chit. Guys doing my floor unplugged my freezer to move it around. They plugged it back in but didn't make sure it was secure. Just lost about $125 in meat. Chicken, pork ribs, hamburger, cornish hens and some frozen meals...
On the good side, at least it wasn't off long enough for stuff to rot and now I don't need to do a defrost. Hadn't been defrosted in 6 years...lol. had about 8 inches of water in the bottom.

Easiest 25 minutes I've had assembling stuff. The missing bookcase has been replaced. Now i can begin reassembling the living room and kitchen. It'll be easier as it's about 40% bigger than the old bookcase

Walmart has these 5x7 carpets that will fit under the coffee table and my recliner and end tables. I can deal with small stuff. Just was tired of the carpet that been in here since the 80's. Got moldy during last water intrusion. Stank doubled from what it was after that. Now, no smell at all

YAY! Old stanky carpet is GONE! New vinyl imitation wood flooring is installed! Now I gotta get everything back in place. Need to get some small piece rugs to protect the flooring from my end tables and coffee table
Only concern is that a bookshelf is missing! No big deal, was a Walmart $35 special almost a decade old. Probably fell apart when they tried to move it...lol

Yep. I started when I was moving stuff out of the living room, just ran out of time to finish going through everything. Been thinking hard about what to do. Trying to justify the idea of tossing EVERYTHING that's not absolutely necessary for my survival. Got too much junk I don't even look at, much less use. Already got all the sentimental garbage gone other than important paperwork and a few pics of the wife I wanna keep.
Heard to believe she's been gone 5 years as of this week...

Been on insulin for 6 years now. Advice my Dr gave me is to "plan your meals around your insulin, not your insulin around your meals"
I don't eat higher carb meals then use a higher amount of insulin to cover the higher glucose spike. Keep my carbs lower, the average insulin dose is lower. Saves me $$$ and keeps me healthier in the long run.

If I eat breads, wheats, rice, grains or carbs in any other form in a high amount, my glucose goes nuts. Takes 3 or 4 days for it to calm back down and that usually entails a 36h fast with tight insulin use to get it steady again. I can have this stuff but rarely and in smaller amounts. I do best i can to NOT abuse my insulin use as that stuff is expensive, even with insurance

Sadly, I grew up on food stamps in the 70's/80's. There was no pride in that household and I made it my goal, once I got out of the house and had my own family, we'd NEVER use welfare or public assistance. Only "assistance" we used was WIC when my first little one was baking in the oven.
