Both my wife and I are a) MBAs (sorry) and b) people managers and we often discuss how frustrating it is when a direct report comes to us with a problem when we expected them to come with a solution.
SVPs should not regularly come to the CEO with problems, that is untenable. They are paid too much for that.

3. Covered hot water pipes in unheated basement with foam insulation tubes (still need to do more more)
