So I've been using Alby and now Alby hub for my nostr wallet, but haven't used it because I don't have much to say, so alby hub 'closed the channel' etc.
I figured I'd just leave it but it occurred to me, can I use my strike wallet to send and receive zaps? If so I'd like to since every now and then I see something I'd like to zap, and it shouldn't have any problems if I don't send or receive for a while.
Can anyone at @nprofile…m2qp (or anyone else) confirm this should work?
Anybody willing to send me a few sats to test? I can send them right back if it works.

So my @nprofile…x6g9 hub on my @nprofile…fu08 server closed the channel because of inactivity.
When I went to open a channel I realized that it's showing I have no balance, so it's asking me to fund it, but alby was my lightening wallet...
So I expect I have to fund it from @nprofile…m2qp or another lightening wallet.
Also, when I reopen the channel, will the sats I had before it closed the channel reappear? Didn't have a lot, but would like to know for future reference...

Just had an interesting conversation with my wife...
She was telling me about how some 'royals' have a screwed up relationship and the wife is abusive, and noted that 'they spend $200 a week on' some frivolous thing or another (I wasn't really riveted to the story by that point.

No idea what's going on with Nostr for me these last couple days... But Ditto and Iris just show MY posts in the feed and Primal just stays at the loading page.
If I check Messages, I see nothing but notifications, explore etc all work.
I tried clearing the cache on my browser etc even tried another browser, and I get the same thing. I also tested and I can still post. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Reminds me of a local guy who's neighbor complained because he had a traitored boat in his driveway 7 months of the year.
He was ordered to remove it, so he looked into the law.
Turns out, you're NOT 'permitted' to have a boat in your driveway... But you ARE allowed to have a boat on your lawn outside your asshole neighbors picture window which viewed nothing but your lovely manicured lawn and foliage until he complained...
That was maybe ten years ago. To this day it sits there any time it's not in the water.

They do not; the last time was a 100 sat and a 2000 sat:
After the 2000 went missing I tried 1000 to the same user from dito and it went through and 'stuck'...
Thinking it had been a transient issue, I started zapping through primal again then this this weeks issue. They don't show up in the primal zap list either. If any of this gives you any troubleshooting ideas, just let me know. Thanks!

I'm on web, and sorry didn't mean to imply because it said it went to Primal, you guys had it or something, just meant it was sent and 'it knew' it was sent to someone through primal, but then it got lost.
It hasn't happened on the other client I use, but your interface is just better so all else being equal I'd rather.
That's the primary reason I want to figure it out, so I can confidently continue using Primal, but I have NO idea how to troubleshoot or figure out what happened or where it went. If there's anything I can do to try to figure it out, I'd love to hear it.

Zapped Ross an hour ago, it showed up it came out of my alby wallet (showing it went to 'Primal') and now it's NOT on Ross's post.
Had at least 3000 sats disappear a couple weeks ago, another several hundred today.

So a client just told me a fun story, he's a finance guy so he's been trading shit coins and asked some questions about wallets etc. I told him I just do bitcoin, but offered some info that might help him.
He then said; I've got a friend who smokes a lot of pot, and years ago he used some site on the 'dark web' to buy pot. Since then PA got a medical program, so he just gets it legally and locally now.
One day he thought to himself; 'I used to use bitcoin to buy weed, I should check and see if I still have any unspent'. He checked whatever wallet he used, and found he still had SIX bitcoin...

I used to have a salad with dinner. I'd grow all the lettuce in my in house hydro setup. It was great.
When I had a timing issue, and had no lettuce my wife bought some. It tasted like bleach. Not a hint, not mild; it tasted like bleach.

Honestly I think it has very little to do with bitcoin, though possibly much to do with fiat.
People see their value going down and they want to 'escape' before they lose it all. They 'feel' an "acute emergency financial situation", when there isn't one, but WOULD potentially be in just about any other asset.
If one's Apple stock dropped 26% in a few days, it may signal real problems, where bitcoin drops 26% and it's just another day on the blockchain.
They miss not just the gains that come after, but they miss the learning experience, the hardening, the change to be made "strong at the broken places."
I had a consult (to make sure I didn't do it wrong) the day it first went to $20k and decided to wait for it to dip again before buying for the first time. It didn't, so I bought at $28k, and DCA'ed all the way up to $60k... then watched it descend back down to $17k (if I recall correctly). It was harrowing, but by then I was CONVINCED of what I held... the best asset that has existed so far on this planet, so I DCA'ed all the way down.
The 'little' it has to do with bitcoin, in my theory, is that 'knowing'; unmistakable knowledge and conviction that you hold the best, and most worthy asset you possibly can, so 'to whom would we go' if we leave bitcoin?
To me it's an understanding that fiat currency and fiat assets have 'painted us into a corner', both financially and morally, and only bitcoin can get us out, no matter how the price may fluctuate today.

Thanks! that is what I just learned, but don't really know anything more than that.
I think someone shared something about the Jade Hardware device, and when I looked at that, they had something about multisig on their website, which started my research.
Trying to learn what I need to, and think through the options to find the best one.
It was initially spurred on by a seminar that Swan did, where they were promoting their multisig offering, and noted a couple wallets that work with their setup.
At this point I don't even know if multisig solutions are a 'standardized' / interchangeable thing, or if each offering is its own proprietary setup etc. So I definitely want to learn much more before i make any decision.

Thanks, I may know even less than I thought. Are there no specific things related to BTC programming / coding?
The last time I wrote code was in 1983 and it was RPG II, but there was COBOL, Fortran and a few other languages to code in.
I wouldn't want to learn a language that wouldn't have any real application in the BTC realm.
Is there anything specific I should look for or focus on as I and hopefully my grand kids try to learn?

It's fascinating to watch In the Heat of the Night, listening to the commentary. At one point the director Norman Jewison, who's work I like a lot, notes that we now have "a more democratic nation in respect to race relations" and bemoans the individual and people not being a part of something.
The sad thing he seems to miss is that the south was ABSOLUTLY democratic: The MAJORITY decided that blacks had no rights and that was that.
In contrast if you 'focus on the individual' you see that EVERY individual has rights, no matter HOW MANY people don't want them to.
