no, thst is not what i said. where do rights come from, what are rights based on? what does the word even mean? it is part of the word family that we get the word righteous from, it is the same word family as the word justice. Rights will change from generation to generation, and from culture to culture unless they are based on objective truth or righteousness that never changes. So what is the basis of your rights? or my rights?

You would also enjoy Through New Eyes by James Jordan. The guys at Theopolis podcast have a series commenting on the book by chapter as well. Many Reformed people reject these guys because they were part of the early Theonomy movement, and later part of the Federal Vision controversy. Mr Lopp, we often talk about creating our “citadel.” This is what the Puritans did, centered around their understanding of God and his will. Roger Williams wanted to change the Puritan citadel from the inside, but he was forced to leave and create his own citadel. In the end, you probably would have also disagreed with Williams as well and created your own citadel. If Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, then we must pursue him with loyal and loving obedience as our King. This is what the Puritans sought for themselves and their children, this is what Roger Williams sought in his own way. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, then the Puritans, Roger Williams, me, and every other Christian are nothing but fools. But, if Jesus did rise from the dead, then “… every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” You and I both are given this invitation to follow Jesus in faith. Every other decision or question is life is a shitcoin in comparison. Happy Thanksgiving.

thank you for sharing this. My path has been very similar. Colossians 1:13-14 was key in my thought process. There is no neutral ground between the two kingdoms. Dr Greg Bahnsen gave an amazing lecture that is preserved on YouTube called The Myth of Neutrality.

it has much better heat retention than stainless and is much lighter than cast iron. I do love a smooth old cast iron pan, but carbon steel is easier for me for everyday use. I hope this is helpful.
