In 1972 Magnavox was releasing the world's first game console. They wanted to sell a light gun too. They invented one, but needed it to look cool too. So, they reached out to a Japanese toy company that was little known in the West. That little company was Nintendo, and their toy rifle became the world's first light gun for Magnavox Odyssey.
I'm so happy to have added this back to my collection.
