They both looked great for their age... We adopted a 19 year old cockatiel years ago but he passed away less than a year later, which is a more typical age. What's your secret?

Same, the waste is ridiculous. I don't understand why none of the grocery stores assemble an equivalent of these, using whole ingredients instead of baggies. I'd LOVE to simply pick up a box that contains recipes and all the ingredients needed to make them.

Oh this is a nice graph, I've never seen it before. Isn't there a star that's projected to come much closer than this, well within the Oort cloud and maybe even near the Kuiper belt?
Also RE Oort cloud, do they take the shape of the galaxy they're in? If ours is a two-arm spiral, are those in elliptical galaxies elliptical?

Mr Grégoire? Nah, I think he's quite alright, but maybe I'm biased because he reminds me of where several of my friends were politically last year. There are millions of perfectly reasonable Canadians who have historically voted Conservative, and it's hard to let go of that.

Exactly, hence my question. Many conservatives love to wrap themselves in the "libertarian" flag but in practice they only allow people the liberty of choosing from a set of pre-approved behaviours that are indistinguishable from those endorsed by social conservatives. They are "libertarians" in the same way that countries with "democratic people's republic" in their name are democratic republics.

Free to choose works until you reach a critical mass of extremists, as we see with the GOP, or the Bundestag wrestling with AfD. Past a certain percentage the inmates realise they can take over the asylum.
The CPC is well on its way too, which has turned off many former PCs. I know several personally, including a former provincial PC minister, who no longer recognize the party and see more of themselves in Carney's Liberals. I don't know if they can recover.

Lots of Conservatives (like our M. Gregoire here) hold on to the idea that there's still something left of the PC party in there, and don't buy into the culture war nonsense.Of course in practice that doesn't matter if they're voting for a party who will enact those things, but still, it will take a while for reality to set in. It's like convincing a Leafs fan to abandon them for the Habs. It won't happen overnight.

Not comparable at all. There's no US military base here, compared to Greenland where Vance went to make annexation threats in person. Sure, they talk about Canada being the 51st state, but much less insistently and directly than they are talking about Greenland. Plus, the US taking Greenland is actually feasible, and I wouldn't be surprised if the military obey that order (which is far from a given with any action against Canada)

True, but the economic principles he cites are very basic. Don't need to be an economist to know that the rest of the G7 dumping treasuries would be very bad for the US. In fact there was a big rate spike just yesterday. It's his assertion that this was deliberate and part of a backroom deal by Carney that elevates it into conspiracy territory.
