I keep them cause i like them? they are fun to watch be all industrious and build their homes and clean each other and interact with the cat watching them, and petting them when they are in the mood.

i pet them inside their homes and lightly handle them during cleaning, they arent really that into being held. The one mouse that was into people and being held passed away, guessing it was cancer - its a mouse sorry i didnt spring for a vet. 2 in the larger cage the cats sleeping on, and one in smaller container the cat is fascinated with(unfortunately she failed to socialize with the other two - violence ensued) . He would definitely kill them if he had thumbs, he has caught mice before.
