I have a loaded walnut tree in back of the house and kvass, sourdough, kombucha, a jar of squash fermenting, a jar of radishes and onions fermenting and a ginger bug in the cabinets and a bunch of heads of cabbage ready to be processed so now I’m off looking for a pickled walnuts recipe! Decades ago I attended a “self-help” conference. I don’t remember much about it except the idea that there are things that I don’t know I don’t know. I know how to drive a car, I know that I don’t know how to fly an airplane. Then there are the things that I don’t know that I don’t know. Over the years I have accepted the fact that I am ignorant of many things. Through acceptance I feel I have learned to be a better person.
