Five years into this amazing Bitcoin journey and I have come to realize:
Sovereignty over money is great.
Sovereignty over thoughts, words, actions is greatest.
In other words, sovereignty over self or sovereignty over consciousness is the ultimate journey and sovereignty over money is one stop along the path.

Many humans seem obsessed with "equality." But equality is not God's divine plan.
How do we know this?
God did not make the trees equal. He didn't make the rivers or the lakes equal. He didn't make the animals equal. He made them unique.
God makes us all unique. You could say that the universe is an infinite number of expressions of the Divine.
So, I would argue that we are all born unique, and what we want is the opportunity to express our uniqueness throughout our lifetime. We want a fair chance to show a different side of the Divine that resides within each of us.
The harder we push for "equality" the further we stray away from God. The more we accept our genuine uniqueness, the closer we get to God.

I got all of the patriotic feels over the last few days in DC celebrating 250. Between parades, flyovers, and the red, white, and blue all over, the spectacle did a number on me like it was supposed to.
Today, though, I am came back down to Earth.
One week of overwhelming spectacle does not forgive decades of authoritarian oppression from the US Government.
We don't forget the endless money printing.
We don't forget the forever wars.
We don't forget the crimes against humanity.
We don't forget the mass censorship and surveillance.
We don't forget COVID and the harmful jabs.
We don't forget the monsters in Epstein's network.
It was good to put those aside for a few days and remember that America is the best nation on Earth.
It is time to get back to work in keeping it that way. And that means a long memory, relentless effort, and eyes on the true north of this country which is individual liberty and autonomy, ordained by God.

I watched Finding Satoshi today and it was a really moving documentary.
The conclusion that Hal Finney and Len Sassaman likely collaborated under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto to create Bitcoin seems very plausible to me given the evidence presented.
Even more significant to me though was the takeaway about these two men as human beings.
They were brilliant and competent, but they were also kind, thoughtful, humble, and principled. They were good teammates, friends, partners, and in Hal's case, a good father.
All of our lives, we are shown example after example in society that these kinds of men are not valuable. That, in fact, power, cunning, and ruthlessness are the only ways for individuals to make an impact in the world. Might makes right and the strong can do what they want, while the weak suffer what they must.
Bitcoin's origin story is a repudiation of that worldview. It shatters that framework.
Look at how much positive impact Bitcoin has already had on the world. And imagine how much positive impact is yet to come.
If Hal and Len were the creators of Bitcoin, it demonstrates to the world that kind, humble, hardworking, collaborative, and loving individuals are powerful. In fact, they may demonstrate that a dedicated network of those types of individuals are the most powerful force in the world.
We Are All Satoshi. We can be peaceful, loving, and humble (enough) people, and we can also be a force of nature that even powerful tyrants bend to.

It's weird to say this, but I think Bitcoiners are forming a new nation. The first ever digitally native nation.
I mean that in the sense that the United States of America used to be a nation. England used to be a nation, etc. Globalization essentially dissolved those nations of people. The States still exist but the nations are going extinct.
In the internet age, people don't believe in the old idea of belonging to a nation based on blood and soil. Why sacrifice for the people in my country if they don't share my values? Why sacrifice for the people in my country if they aren't reciprocating my efforts? They are just taking from me. This sucks.
Ironically, the answer to globalization was to form the first truly global nation based on internet protocols, not geography.
Bitcoiners can meet each other all over the world and click almost immediately. It is like you are meeting someone you've known for a long time when you meet a fellow Bitcoiner. Because you know you've had shared experiences and you have shared values. You've been reading and watching the same things. That's what a nation of people is supposed to feel like. A big family.
This is not to say that Bitcoiners will create a state a la Balaji's Network State thesis. Bitcoiners tend to despise government. I find it hard to imagine that we would voluntarily build a Networked Nation State.
It is a remarkable story, nevertheless. A tribe, a nation, that is forming across the globe, connected by a single open source software program. (And now a second one, in Nostr).
Perhaps other nations will form digitally in the coming decades. But I find it hard to believe that they will be as strong and as powerful as Bitcoin Nation.
