The immigration discussion was actually easier to have in Bush and Obama eras than now. People are very much polarized atp. Now that “we won” I hope the new right is expedient in pulverizing wokeism but also hope they realize the performative new right stuff can be curtailed a bit. They don’t have to hate Indians for the lolz. And yes, parts of Christianity would be described by new right guys as “weak and gay”. Not saying they have to become centrists but just more self aware.

An easy way to explain this is to think of email.
Anyone can build a mail client on top of the email protocol. Doesn’t matter if you have Gmail or Yahoo.
Likewise with Nostr it’s a social media protocol that anyone can build a social media app on and communicate access social apps.

In fairness technology always has the potential to be used negativity but without a sense of morality and denying the essence of humanity I’m concerned for how we value human life. Philosophy helps but often points to a god in some sense like Platonism or the Tao. And a lot of philosophy is built on Christian culture which is being stripped away.
