Thanks to a generous credit of tokens from @PPQdotAI , Kimi K3 and an ape with a laptop (me) have conducted the following analysis of a bunch of projects / companies wallet softwares. @Coinkite , @OPENDIME , @SeedSigner , @Bitkey , @bluewalletio , @PhoenixWallet , @SparrowWallet , @Trezor , @Blockstream , @Ledger , @BitBoxSwiss , @SpecterDIY , @ElectrumWallet , @SamouraiWallet
🟡 Yellow ≠ broken. None of the nine Yellow products has a confirmed fund-loss-by-default flaw. Yellow means at least one of: (a) something security-critical sits outside independent verification. i.e., closed firmware or secure-element code (Opendime, Ledger, open source please!), vendor-run recovery infrastructure (Phoenix/ACINQ, Jade's oracle, Bitkey's WSM); (b) a real but bounded weakness, such as a zero-work-factor KDF (BlueWallet), weak legacy KDFs on a hot wallet (Electrum), no-SE DIY hardware with thin maintenance (SpecterDIY), a just-patched vulnerability awaiting its report (Bitkey); or (c) a dead/unmaintained product whose crypto reviewed clean (free Samourai!). In every case the entropy/key-generation path itself was reviewed and found sound unless the cell says otherwise.

Could also add a really long and complex password for entropy, then go into Seed Functions->Lock Down Seed, to create a new seed that incorporated the long PW. Never need to enter it again afterwards.

There's always enough signal, so canceling identifiable noise has little downside.
Sources of noise can be identified as falling for stupid ideas or rhetorical argumentation, misunderstanding principles (physical/economical/psychological/technological/…), basing technical decisions on subjective criteria like morals instead of expected outcome, etc.
I just don't expect valuable insights from persons with such traits.

A fifth grader wouldn't even ask the question, but let me try.
The concept of ownership doesn't exist in the space of distributed networks like cryptocurrencies (because there is no entity that has the power to force everyone to accept a certain entity's ownership over something).
So instead of ownership, it is the ABILITY to spend a coin, that determines who "owns" what. That ability depends on knowing something that others don't know: a secret.
That secret is mathematically derived using a function that works very quickly in one way, but unbelievably slowly in the other way. So If you know the secret, it's easy to find and spend all your coins. But if you know the coins, you can't find the secret that allows you to spend the coins.
Large and fast quantum computers would - if they ever came out of the realm of the theoretical - be able to massively speed up the function that finds the secret, from looking at the coins. In other words, the people who control such a computer, would be able to steal anyone's coins.

Duolingo nervt maximal. Schon lustig: Manche Deutschen bezeichnen Leute, die nordafrikanische Wirtschaftsflüchtlinge als "braunes Pack" bezeichnen, als "braunes Pack."
Ich bin verwirrt: sind nun nordafrikanische Wirtschaftsflüchtlinge das "braune Pack", oder die Leute, die diese so bezeichnen? Und sind nicht generell Leute, die andere Leute als "Pack" bezeichnen, selber "Pack", egal welche Farbe?

How to troll a scammer:
Me: “Hello.”
Scammer: (thick, heavy accent) “Hello. This is Tom Smith from Microsoft Support. We are seeing a lot of virus activity coming from your device.”
Me: “Oh no. My device? Are you sure?”
Scammer: “Oh yes, Sir. We have many reports.”
Me: “Oh, jeez. How can I fix it?”
Scammer: “It’s okay, Sir. We can help you right now. Are you in front of your device?”
Me: “Yes. I was just about to use it. I’m glad you called.”
Scammer: “Good, Sir. Please push the Start button.”
Me: “I think it’s already on.”
Scammer: “Okay, Sir. Now click on Control Panel.”
Me: “I don’t see that.”
Scammer: “Do you see a bunch of information above the Start button?”
Me: “Yes.”
Scammer: “That is your Control Panel.”
Me: “Wow. I didn’t realize it had a name.”
Scammer: “Yes, Sir. Now press Internet Options.”
Me: “I don’t see any Internet options. I don’t think I bought that feature. This is just a cheap one.”
Scammer: “All devices have Internet, Sir. Press the Start button again.”
Me: “Okay. Same as before.”
Scammer: “That’s fine, Sir. We will restart your device. Please turn it off.”
Me: “Um… I don’t know how. I’ve never turned it off. It kind of just stays on.”

Klar, das ist immer guter Rat. Es war nur eine mittelfristige Voraussage, keine Aufforderung zum Verkaufen. Und hab sie nur gemacht, weil sie eben nicht das ist, was man sowieso meint ("Bitcoin geht nur rauf" etc.). Es kann IMHO durchaus sein, dass beim Verfall der geopolitischen Situation der Preis von BTC in Fiat völlig unvorhergesehen agiert.

Das ist fundamental gesehen alles richtig, aber Märkte sind oft für längere Zeit irrational. Und es scheint so zu sein, dass Bitcoin in Phasen großer Unsicherheit ebenfalls liquidiert wird, auch wenn es irrational ist. Und leider wird der Preis kurz- und mittelfristig durch den Markt bestimmt und nur langfristig durch die Fundamentaldaten.

Die sind schon seit Jahrzehnten am Limit und die Steuereinnahmen werden nur noch durch verstärktes "Enforcement" erhöht. Daher die ganze KYC/AML/ATF/Schwarzarbeit-Geschichte.
