It is money that the few who are responsible enough to custody it can. Those that do that will win. Trying to have "everyone" or even the majority win is not possible. Humble sat stacks will keep stacking and eating up the supply slowly, always setting the floor.
As it becomes worth more, medium of exchange adoption and use of it will increase, as it has, just not at the pace you would like.

It really is needed and important for raising kids, as well as for the kids themselves growing up.
I had it but since then so family have scattered into different parts of the world making it really hard to create what the generation above had.
Not a day goes by where I try to think how I could create that but it is very difficult to get lots of family to move to the same place or to find a group not family based that will work out long term.

It’s not a failure for the individuals that adopted it. What about for the state buying it? If they still own it then it was a success for their sovereignty and for their bargaining power against the IMF.
As for the big state sponsored wallet rollout, and Bitcoin city it may have been a failure but also it did increase the number of visitors so from a marketing ploy it wasn’t a failure.

It is all about scale.
The classic example of a family is often better as a communist institution, the property is often shared, money is not used to interchange goods and services. Instead we use other means like you mentioned. For example if someone is not pulling their weight in the family they are shamed, or have some benefit withheld from them.
At scale though that isn’t possible, economic calculation is needed to coordinate our interactions and money is required for that.

An economy of spenders is not the end all be all sign of a healthy economy or money. Fiat encourages spending, good money encourages savings therefore good money will have less transactions than fiat for awhile.

In my family, the generation above me were all doing better than their children are at the same age. They all owned homes, had stable jobs, could afford their lives more, had children and good marriages.
Everyone in my generation appears to be struggling more even though in most cases they are more educated, and in some cases have even more prestigious high paying jobs.
The issue really is the money, the generation before could have low to medium paying teaching jobs but things were much more affordable so life was good.
Now a days either you are filthy rich or you are struggling, there is no in between.
