I had the privilege of moderating a panel on “The Micro & Macro Forces Accelerating Institutional Bitcoin Adoption” with:
Alessio Quaglini (CEO, Hex Trust)
Kyu Ho (Chief of Staff, DDC ENTERPRISE LIMITED)
The discussion couldn’t be more timely: DDC Enterprise Limited (NYSE: DDC) just crossed a major milestone — 1,008 BTC in its corporate treasury, only 96 days after its first purchase, now ranking 42nd globally among public Bitcoin treasuries. Their bold goal? 10,000 BTC by year-end.
We explored how macro forces—from fiat devaluation, rising U.S. money supply, inflationary pressures, and regulatory clarity (like Hong Kong’s Bitcoin ETF approvals and the U.S. GENIUS Act)—are creating fertile ground for institutional demand.
On the micro side, we dove into how infrastructure providers like Hex Trust are lowering barriers for corporations by offering institutional-grade custody, execution, and compliance frameworks, enabling companies like DDC Enterprise to confidently integrate Bitcoin into their balance sheets.
Looking to the future, Alessio painted a vision of Bitcoin evolving into a standard institutional reserve asset, while Kyu shared how corporations may increasingly use Bitcoin as a core treasury strategy rather than just a hedge.

I had the privilege of presenting the keynote “Bitcoin class of 2017” and dropping some major truth bombs! Dove into Bitcoin’s transformational role in global energy security and its path to economic sovereignty, inspired by thinkers like Max Keiser and Jason Lowery, and how its mining network promotes efficient, sustainable energy use. Also highlighted the high standards and fierce principles that unite Bitcoiners but sometimes challenge newcomers—especially when the broader industry throws around misleading labels.
Also touched on Bitcoin’s multifaceted potential—as a store of value, payments network (via Lightning), and “freedom tech”—all essential to fostering economic sovereignty and resilience. And also tried to bust the myth that - if you’re building on Bitcoin today, securing VC funding can feel like climbing Everest in flip-flops. 😅

October 31st to November 3rd: Liberty in Our Lifetime Conference in Prague 🇨🇿
I had the privilege to attend the Liberty in Our Lifetime Conference in Prague, hosted by Free Cities Foundation. It was an inspiring experience to dive deep into new models of governance and communities that prioritize freedom, autonomy, and innovation.
Set in Prague’s stunning Empire Hall, the conference brought together over 300 attendees, each passionate about the potential of Free Cities. We dove deep into bold projects like Próspera and Ciudad Morazán in Honduras, Montelibero in Montenegro, Liberstad in Norway, and even the self-governing island of Sark in the Channel Islands. It’s refreshing to see real solutions to modern governance, where people aren't just talking about freedom—they’re living it. Whether it’s diplomatic strategies for self-governing communities, Bitcoin-powered sovereignty, or entrepreneurship as a tool for change, these projects are shaping a new paradigm.
It was also an incredible opportunity to connect with Dr. Titus Gebel , CEO of Tipolis and Peter Young, Managing Director of the Free Cities Foundation. I also had great conversation with David Parkinson, CEO of Musqet. And finally got to meet Efrat Fenigson in person! Being part of these discussions and meeting such forward-thinking individuals opened my eyes to the philosophies that drive meaningful, fair-world ideologies—philosophies that eventually inspire technologies like Bitcoin, designed to serve humanity’s best interests. I’m more convinced than ever of the value of actively participating in these conversations. If we’re serious about shaping a fair and free world, gatherings like these are essential.

Just got back from #Berlin Bitcoin++ conference – had an amazing time catching up with my OG #Bitcoin squad @npub1kp7…487l, Alex Li, @npub12qx…q8u9 , @npub1yxp…399s , Michele Anastasio and making new connections with Oscar Lafarga, @npub1e0z…0txy , Tomas and many others in the Bitcoin world.
Gotta give a massive shoutout to @npub1e0z…0txy for putting together this killer event!
I’m energised by the innovative strides in #Bitcoin privacy, particularly in #ecash technology. Three major insights stood out:
-Fedimint Observer: It is designed to be the mempool.space for Fedimint, providing insights into transfers in and out of federations while respecting the privacy properties of Fedimint.
-HTLC Swaps: Atomic swaps between Lightning and ecash, enhancing cross-system liquidity.
-Wallet Recovery: Innovations in backup solutions for ecash.
