Trying to assess the risk generated by Mythos, and Mythos like capabilities. Apart from this post: https://red.anthropic.com/2026/mythos-preview/ are there any other sources showing what it can do with any degree of detail and scientific method / rigour?
That post has a lot of hand waving “we can’t go into the details” that make accurate assessment of the impact of its capabilities difficult. Yes there is some headline grabbing stuff, but if you already have a load of KEV and N day vulnerabilities I’m struggling to answer the question with regards to Mythos “So What?”
Shorter Patching cycles, better incident response and detection, review for logic errors, use memory safe languages were all things that people are trying to achieve before.
Does anyone have compute power estimates that could be combined with numbers of high and critical vulnerabilities found? The blog post highlights the eye catching headlines but is lacking details on number and severity of findings.
If I didn’t know better I’d say it reads like a tech sales pitch.

This one I really focused on the mixing & mastering and trying to get it sound ok next to professional releases.
It was time consuming but interesting! I’m not there yet, but was definitely better than last effort.
Had to really work the kick to get a sound I was “happy” with (some reverb on the kick stack seemed to do the trick).
I think smashed it too hard with the limiter so streaming services turn it down a bit after the breakdown. Oh well, lesson learned.

I liked this video so much. It communicated my thoughts more clearly than I have been able to. It also helped me reflect on why I’m ok using “AI” for summarising meeting minutes, or random meme stuff, but hate the idea of using it anywhere near my music or album artwork etc.
Even if my music or drawing sucks, at least I experienced and learned from the journey.

I look for “change” every 5, but that could also be rotation, new responsibilities and roles etc. Up is not the only way and it can depend on personal circumstances?
Is success getting to the top? Or enjoying the trip?
I don’t know. What one ties their own value to is quite personal I think.
People often mix progression with promotion. And one may find promotion less fulfilling than a new technical challenge.

I don’t engage much on “the internet “ but occasionally I do sometimes get replies and it’s astounding how often people are just rude.
I will (probably internally) judge people if they are “being an ass”, but I just really don’t get why anyone cares about other people’s preferences for frankly irrelevant things to my life.
Maybe I don’t have a preference for “XYZ” or whatever but as long as you’re not hurting anyone I really have more important things to worry about.
If you like something different to me, I’m interested to know why! Maybe I missed something? Maybe I didn’t but it’s always cool to have insight into people’s other passions.
