Last Notes That might be the best story I've heard in mastodon 😂 I can't even imagine him delivering mail. I think they're both supposed to be pretty decent guys. Clerks came out when I was an undergrad and I thought it was the best thing I'd ever seen, oh the good ol' days! Not a lot of Kevin Smith fans here #FensterFreitag Painted Fire Escapes 🩵 #Photography #NYC #AltText #iPhonePhotography https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/117/213/440/090/150/338/original/ae54ce7d852e0ef3.jpeg You have such a caring heart. I'm glad you don't live in NYC because it's heartbreaking everywhere. And you're walking by so many people that need help you don't know where to start. There used to be more people asking for money. But everyone just uses their phones now, not cash. I make up little aid packets and put a five dollar bill in, then pass them out in my neighborhood when I can. I understand the guilt too. Is there really a watermarking? Because it seems like that would solve the whole problems with teachers not knowing if their students used it to write a paper. Yet, I keep hearing about universities that are entire semesters behind because they haven't had time to go through all the papers that were sent for review for AI #FensterFreitag I've been walking past this building near First Avenue and 22nd St. for a while and admiring the red and purple paint job. On this day, I managed to get the light hitting it, making the scene seem a little wistful to me #Photography #NYC #AltText #iPhonePhotography https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/117/055/052/744/662/667/original/813fd5ca8cc705ae.jpeg This is such a wonderful story! It's also a much bigger project than I was picturing in my mind. Thank goodness for the kindness and the help 😊 Wow, I wish that's what it looked like when I was playing around 😂 I love it! #FotoVorschlag Eine'r von Tausenden I'm not going to lie, I had to look it up. Does anyone have recommendations for a Ramen place that uses real bone broth (like it will turn to jelly in the refrigerator). My favorite place (on 9th Ave called Jun-Men) closed and I haven't been able to find one that uses bone broth. #NYC Only this photo will do in the heat 🥵 #Photography #AltText https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/116/925/446/108/763/805/original/b56b0dc5ac514ec4.jpeg #DoorsDay A lovely door on Gramercy Park. It's a pretty area, but it's a locked park that people in certain buildings get keys to open. I have rarely, if ever, seen anyone in the park. It's so sad, that there's this beautiful space that never gets used. #NYC #Photography #AltText #iPhonePhotography https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/116/771/700/970/159/143/original/bfd622297a375dab.jpeg Recipe question: I am allergic to vinegar and lemon (all citrus fruits), so I use only olive oil on salad. I was at a Turkish restaurant last week and I asked for olive oil because of the allergy and they said their dressing had no vinegar or lemon. I tried it, it had a tangy flavor but I wasn't allergic to it and it was very good with some herbs. As we left I asked what the flavor was and they said a touch of tomato purée. It was great but we definitely missed a bunch. Reason for another visit one day! This is just an absolutely amazing photo! I had to look up Nubble and then felt really silly because it's in Maine and I just got back from Portland last week. Needless to say, I missed this beauty This was spot on! I loved it and now I'm on a third book by him. Really good narration too! Thank you for this very long thread, I really appreciate all the detailed information because there's so much about this I don't know. I am having to start to rely on audiobooks and I saw the problems quickly. I have Libro.FM and Libby for now. I'm only using a phone, not computer and realized I don't even know where an audiobook would show up if I bought it from a website?? Either way, I will be checking out your Kickstarter right away😊 Yep, you just described a good part of what is happening to me. I tested negative for EDS, but I have most of the symptoms. I was lucky enough to end up after years, with a great PT who mainly works with EDS patients. I have a rib in the back that has slid out of place and won't go back, which is causing widespread back and shoulder pain. My sacrum slips from side to side so no chairs are ever comfortable. I really empathize. You can complain to me whenever you want😊 This one with the peeling paint is my favorite so far 😊 I do understand feeling a sort of responsibility to finish. But when time starts to feel finite, I agree that it's just time to find something that makes you both happy and riveted Oh she definitely looks to be scolding him Just came across this photo by Toshio Shibata and fell in love with it. It's from 2019, taken in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata prefecture. Evidently the exposure time has been adjusted enough to give the water falling the appearance of sheer fabric reminiscent of how Christo and Jean-Claude would use fabric. When I first looked at it, I really started to believe that they had hung sheer fabric over the waterfall #photography https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/115/010/671/015/176/736/original/9b16ec50a774f14a.png I just listened to this and found it to be a really sweet story and I love the characters. Just wanted to add that the narration is great on the audio version. It seems like the start of a good series 🤞 If you haven't seen Slow Horses maybe give it a try; it's one of the best shows I've seen in ages. That is how I know Jack Lowden, I think he will be an excellent Mr. Darcy Witkoff is equally disgusting and dishonest, just another real estate developer who is now in charge of everything I guess it's pasta salad day, I'm doing farfalle again I didn't know they were so friendly. It's really interesting to see it up close. I've mainly heard them when we were visiting Illinois and was shocked at how loud they actually are, because I had never heard them before "Fading Away" I tried something new, these are both photos I took and layered for #FotoVorschlag Psychedelisch #nyc #photography #streetphotography https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/114/857/783/806/505/059/original/b9ddc39c0925b203.png Ledges, windows and hidden ionic columns #nyc #Fensterfreitag #photography #BlackAndWhite #monochrome https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/114/835/115/437/661/242/original/88e9e8dc7c937e63.png A ladder to the sky #nyc #photography #silentsunday #clouds https://cdn.masto.nyc/media_attachments/files/114/807/863/249/790/833/original/531ba1d9cf911784.png I haven't watched yet but very much agree. This benign looking photo shows so many of the things about New York that I love. Different styles of windows, perfect fire escapes, a water tank peeking out and even a shell motif around a window. I remember loving his books and their philosophical nature. There's both a 1972 Russian film and a 2002 American film based on the book. I recall the Russian film being fairly true to the book. The American version brings in strange religious undertones that were not in the book.
