I have noticed that every time I say, "That would be an actual useful thing that AI could do," it's about something I don't want to do in the first place, and moreover, don't think I should have to. Like click "do not track me or sell/share my data" buttons on every single website. I never want tracking or data exposure. I would like to set that once globally and be done.

I have a theory about glue work (defined in Tanya Reilly's post, which I have linked), and it is that one reason why some of us do it relentlessly, even when we know it hurts us, is precisely because it's work that isn't legible to the organization at large, so no one can tell us how to do it or expect a task-level breakdown of it.
