Decided to try Darsa fried chicken (for science). It’s pretty plain, in one flavour only. Definitely missing the 11 secret herbs & spices that we’re used to. The corn rice is just ok.
This place is always full tho every time I pass by. I can see the pull for malay muslim demographic which is 100% their clientele. Me who don’t let religious or racial sentiment decide what I eat, won’t probably come back. Just because they’re nothing special or even that good.

Canteen food was exciting at first because of the new building and everything, but it gets boring really fast. This non-spicy, bland food is great for the expat palate but torture for locals like me. Plus, the portion sizes are questionable.
