I am stunned by how slow John Lewis is at despatching items. Maybe I'm used to/spoiled by places like Amazon and The Pi Hut... But honestly? 10 days to arrive? Yeesh. No wonder they struggle to stay relevant.

There's a problem, I think, of most educators, and tech professionals, obsessed with doing things "the right way" which means that when "the right way" was changed, I think most people WANT to do it the right way, but see it as a barrier. Which it definitely is.

My guess is that he was very used to doing things "the old way" and then suddenly he was forced to use venvs and suddenly everything had to be relearned. All the tutorials for the Pi used to just say "install xyz and go". Now one has to mess with venvs because someone arbitrarily decided not to support the old way. Just a guess.

I'm not sure how I'd find out! Basically, it's a Pi 3A or B plus what looks like a decent sized mobile phone touch screen affixed to the back of the Pi.

Now. Some small problems. It's a 3A so with half a gig of memory, web browsing is God awful, if not unusable. Plus I appear to be undervolting all over the blummin' place. Which is a shame as I thought the Seeed Studio power board was up to the job. Anyone got any suggestions on powering a 3B from a battery pack? Might be worth another go...

More work on my #Psion Pi project. I've given up trying to do a clamshell and am thinking of a non-hinged fixed-angle workstation now. Unfortunately, the design of a pass-through hinge was too much for me. Currently trying to figure out how to attach something like the back piece at that fixed angle to the foreground piece AND not print it "all in one" which would take too long in one go on my Ender 3 for my liking!

I agree with all that you've said. The more experience in your "experience", the better value for money. Not every show *needs* a pre or post show, though. Fewer people drinking alcohol would be my preference!

Are the #RaspberryPi Pico 2 (RP2350) GPIO pins broken? AT LAST a plain-English explanation of the problem.
